Our spacious apartment is in a typically Maltese quaint narrow street, with all the local shops and amenities literally just around the corner. Away from the tourist traps but convenient for most island activities.
A perfect place for that great FAMILY holiday enjoying the wonderful sandy beaches, for COUPLES looking to avoid the peak summer holiday rush, GOLF breaks, SCUBA DIVING holidays in the crystal clear blue sea or simply a relaxing escape to a WARMER CLIMATE in the winter months to discover the historical features of the island dating back to pre-historic days. Whatever you are looking for, one thing is sure, when you arrive in Malta you will soon discover that most of your time will be spent outdoors. We have therefore created what we believe is our HAVEN OF RELAXATION on our spacious roof terrace.
By day you can lounge under the CLEAR BLUE SKY, with a cool glass of KINNIE (a thirst quenching Maltese soft drink) or a bottle of cold CISK LAGER, another locally produced beer. Simply switch off and relax, while the kids play on the X-BOX or watch a DVD on the 32 inch Flat screen TV in the cool living room!
After a long day out sightseeing or enjoying the wonderful beaches around the island, just relax under the stars and DINE AL FRESCO on our 63 sqr mtr roof terrace. Or maybe just enjoy a drink or two with the picturesque view of the old capital city of Mdina lit up in gold in the dark sky at night. During spring and summer you wil lfind you spend most of your days and evenings up here relaxing.
Then of course there’s also the weekend FESTAS which take place during the summer months, were you will be able to experience the amazing FIREWORKS DISPLAYS from the comfort of your own haven.

In addition to the cd player in the living room, you will also find a portable iPod docking station with speakers, so you can listen to all your favourite music.
The kitchen is fully equipped with crockery, glassware and electrical appliances that you may need during your stay. You will also find everything you need upstairs in the utilty area on the Roof terrace including fridge, kettle, crockery, glasses etc..

For your added comfort all bedrooms have wall mounted air conditioning units, windows and ample storage space. Each guest will also be provided with towels.

The Island of Malta region


The Maltese archipelago lies virtually at the centre of the Mediterranean, with Malta 93km south of Sicily and 288km north of Africa. The archipelago consists of three islands: Malta, Gozo and Comino with a total population of 400,000 inhabitants over an area of 316sq km and a coastline of 196.8km (not including 56.01 km for the island of Gozo).
Malta is the largest island and the cultural, commercial and administrative centre. Gozo is the second largest island and is more rural, characterised by fishing, tourism, crafts and agriculture while Comino is largely uninhabited, but home of the fantastic Blue Lagoon.
With SUPERBLY SUNNY WEATHER, expansive BEACHES, a thriving NIGHT-LIFE and 7,000 years of intriguing history, there is a great deal to see and do. With a little help from any guidebook, including our handy book of tips of local knowledge, captivating places of interest are immediately identified – the world famous Hypogeum selected as a place of World Heritage by UNESCO, prehistoric temples and grand palaces are but a few.
The long relationship between the Islanders and the various nationalities that occupied Malta over the centuries has created a marriage of styles and traditions, giving the Islands a fascinating eclectic culture.
The Naxxar area
NAXXAR is a typical medium sized HILLTOP VILLAGE/TOWN consisting of an older core of centuries old winding narrow roads, fully of limestone built picturesque town houses close to the imposing church.
It's size means that all conveniences may be found within a half mile radius of the church, such as supermarkets, chemists, doctors' clinics, ironmongers, typical village band and political clubs (bars, all serving very affordable beer and wine!) and a couple of decent restaurants, wine bars, pizza places, and a Maltese "Pastizzeria" serving the must-try "Pastizzi" - hot Maltese ricotta-cheese cheesecakes or crushed-pea pea cakes, in the main available for pennies.
Naxxar also offers the noble and opulent PALAZZO PARISIO with its amazing lavish and sumptuous interiors and colourful PICTURESQUE GARDENS - why not stop for a cool refreshing drink or light lunch or spend some time walking around the 19th CENTURY PALACE. you will also find several other historic sights in the vicinity, and just down the road is Mosta with it's very well visited MOSTA DOME (church ) - Find out about the unexploded bomb in the second world war when you visit malta.
Naxxar is only around 10 minutes drive to Sliema and St Julians, the nearest beaches/seaside towns also boasting plenty of NIGHTLIFE and RESTAURANT/ENTERTAINMENT options. Historic Mdina (Medina - the Old Capital City) is literally visible from Naxxar - Great view from our malta haven apartment's roof terrace. The great thing about the location of our malta haven flat is that practically anywhere in Malta is within 20-25 minutes maximum drive, which makes it an excellent base from which to explore the Maltese islands.

Visit Malta BY SEA:
Ferries of the Grimaldi Group.operate from Salerno (Naples) direct to Malta (Approx 16 hours) and from Sicily on a high speed catamaran operated by Virtu Ferries (Approx 3-4 hours).
CAR HIRE:
There are many worldwide rental companies available, but we are able to secure special rates for all our guests, with a local Car Hire firm - Merlins Car hire. Please ask us at time of booking so we can hopefully save you some money and visit www.merlincarhiremalta.com for more information.
IMPORTANT - If hiring a car it is recommended to have your car delivered to the apartment itself and avoid having to try and find your way here in unfamiliar surroundings. Trust us its easier! We can arrange a reliable airport meet & greet and transfer service direct from the airport. Cost for 4 persons with luggage 25 Euros each way. You also save on car hire on the days you probably won't need it.

The unit was very well presented with easy access by the driver who picked us at at the airport. Easy drive to Naxxar which was central to many places. Walking to some restaurants proved easy. Unit great, fully functional 'home' atmosphere. Television, sound system for ipod, internet access. We had father in law, my wife, and 2 sisters in law across the 3 bedrooms. KItchen amenities complete, oven, fridge, microwave etc. Unit on first floor with walk up some stairs and up again to the roof top private terrace (with front loader w/machine). Local pizza joint a let down though -what was that sausage pizza??). Supermarket a short walk. We hired a car - just needed to get in early for a parking spot nearby (some narrow one-way lanes). First time to Malta and all was fantastic. Beer cold, food great, people lovely, Island and Gozo super - to me another wonderful part of our small world. Let down was the worlds oldest bus we rode on...where were those gears! - however this was due to change with a complete new bus service. Valetta not far on the bus and that was a wonderful city. Anne and Francis hosted us very well and were wonderful. I will return! |

The apartment was great and well equipped, ideal for a group of friends or families, the roof top haven wonderful, where the apartment was situated far exceeded our expectations; it was the perfect place from which to visit the island, peaceful and typically Maltese, just few minutes walk to the beautiful church and all the excellent amenities, and no more than 20 minutes drive to anywhere. The owner arranged transfers to and from the airport and car delivery to the apartment, everything went like clockwork, I would not hesitate to recommend. |

Our Malta trip was great and your apartment was excellent - a real haven. The roof terrace is a great space for lazy days sunbathing and even lazier nights eating and drinking! We timed our visit perfectly, with the local feast and their AMAZING fireworks viewed from the terrace. We recommend a stress free solution, by letting us arrange transfers from Malta airport direct to our apartment. We have researched local companies and our chosen transport company offer us a reliable, professional and great value service, using the very best in vehicles. They provide you with a professional no-nonsense service at the same cost as a taxi, but through a chauffeur vehicle company.

PAYMENT
30% Deposit (Non Refundable) required at time of booking our malta haven apartment. Final balance must be received and funds cleared 4 weeks prior to date of arrival in the apartment.
Preferred payment is via bank transfer to bank account details to be provided.
UK Bank Cheques will also accepted, but you will need to allow enough time for clearance of funds by the relevant due dates.
In all cases a receipt will be issued and emailed/posted to our guests
DEPOSIT
A 150GBP security deposit is required prior to commencing of letting period. Following the satisfactory inspection of the property, at the end of the letting period, this deposit will be refunded in full after departure. Any international banking fees that we may incur for foreign currency transfers, will be deducted from the refunded amount.
