Home description
Located on a quiet hillside outside the village of Glinado, Kairos villa is surrounded by 4000m2 of private, well tended gardens and olive groves. It boasts magnificent views across the Livadi plain towards the Aegean sea in two directions.
The villa provides total privacy but is within 10 minutes driving distance of beautiful sandy beaches, the small, local airport and Naxos town with its many excellent restaurants and bars. There is a good local baker and butcher in the village of Glinado, which is a 5 minute bicycle ride away.
The villa has its own private pool in a sheltered area of the gardens with a shallow end for children. There are extensive garden terraces on three sides of the property, together with a built in BBQ area. There are also spacious balconies on the first and second floors of the villa, and a sheltered gazebo, covered in honeysuckle, on the first floor level which make an ideal dining area. Three double bedrooms provide spacious accommodation for families or groups of friends. One of Greece's best windsurfing areas is within easy reach from the villa, together with beautiful countryside for those who like walking and the highest mountains in the Cycaldes for climbers.

The Aegean Islands region
Its rich geographical relief has created dramatic changes of scenery. High mountains, fertile valleys, plateaus, springs, rivers, caves, huge beaches, sand dunes with cedar trees growing on them, all existing harmoniously on this small piece of earth.
Naxos is one of the few islands, which has been inhabited continuously since ancient times (end of the 4th millennium B.C.) till today.
It has been possible to gather information about the history of the Aegean from traces left behind from each historical period, along with unique monuments which are scattered all over the island.
Its famous beaches on the south western side of the island, which is made up of kilometres of white golden sand, are being developed rapidly, but at the same time still maintain some of the atmosphere of the seventies when they were discovered by the "flower people".
However for someone to really get to know Naxos, he must visit the inland areas, the mountain villages, to walk the paths which crisscross the island, to listen to the violin and the lute at one of the local festivals and to get drunk on the island's energy.
Naxos / Glinado area
Naxos has the cosmopolitan atmosphere of a modern tourist resort, but at the same time has kept its traditional colour and its local culture.
Chora (the main town) is a harbor and the administrative centre of the island. It is a modern town, which offers all kinds of facilities. There is a Health Centre, banks, a very good market place and lots of restaurants, bars and cafes. It has a lively nightlife, not only during the summer months, like most islands, but all the year round.
How to get there
By air There is a daily departure operated by Olympic airways from Athens airport which takes thirty minutes. Timetables vary depending on the seasons, and it may be necessary to have a night in Athens as the Olympic flight normally departs in the morning.
By sea From Athens airport there is easy access to the port of Pirareus either by bus, train or taxi, where you have daily ferries departing for all of the islands including Naxos. We highly recommend booking tickets in advance, particularly during high season and holiday periods, as it makes the journey easier. Please also note that the high-speed ferries are the best option as they only take approximately three and a quarter hours to Naxos. Normal ferries can take up to seven hours.
