The Umbria region

Narni is in the province of Terni. This whole area is rich in woods, olive groves, hills and mountains, and is also where the famous waterfall, Casacate delle Marmore, is located. The Tiber river runs along the province's border, where can be found nature reserves. There are castles, guard towers and ancient hamlets to discover. During the 2nd century B.C. the land was inhabited by Umbrians who were later conquered by the Romans, leaving historical sites for you to visit today, such as Otricoli.

The largest town, Terni, has many remarkable buildings to visit, such as the gothic church of Saint Francis and Palazzo Spada, Palazzo Fabrizi and Palazzo Carrara, to name just a few. There is also an ancient Roman amphitheatre, dating back to 32 B.C. Then there is the famous medieval town of Orvieto, perched on its tuft of rock, with it's beautiful cathedra., the picturesque ancient town of Narni and Amelia which dates back to the 3rd century B.C.

Narni

Just fifty minutes from Rome by car, this area is ideal for relaxing, mountain biking and walking. The area is full of great restaurants and vineyards which you can visit. There are many interesting historical places to visit, including Roman remains, isolated churches and typical Italian hamlets. The medieval town of Narni is nearby, geographical center of Italy, packed with great restaurants, churches and the famous Rocca.

The nearest golf course is at Sutri, approximately 50 km away.
