About the home

A wooden staircase leads up to the entrance of what was once a part of the working winery above the wine presses. This apartment has a relaxing, bright and airy feel created by its high ceilings, fabulous beams and large windows.

The charming open plan living area contains a kitchen, sitting and dining area built around a central wooden staircase.

The kitchen is well equipped with full-sized oven and fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker.

The living/ dining area has two large sofas, satellite TV and a wooden dining table and chairs.

The double and one of the twin bedrooms look out beyond the cherry trees of the courtyard, towards the pool and fields.

The apartment is on one level apart from the third bedroom which is on the floor above and has two single beds.There are two bathrooms, each with bath/shower, sink and toilet.

For outdoor dining there is a BBQ, table and chairs in the courtyard next to the apartments entrance.

There are 2 acres of shared gardens with climbing frame, slide, swings and plenty of space for ball games. This enclosed garden also offers shaded areas beneath fruit trees and secluded spots to hide away.

The large shared swimming pool (12m x 6m) is walled and gated for safety.

There is plenty of private parking.

Outdoor dining there is a BBQ, table and chairs in the courtyard.

The Narbonne area

The ancient Roman settlement of Narbonne is known as the crossroads of the south - and not without reason. It is minutes from the coast, the green hills of the Corbieres and the tranquil waters of the Canal du Midi which meanders effortlessly through the vine filled plains of the Minervois.

Narbonne is brimming with shops, cafes and restaurants, and historical interest.

Attractions in the area: the medieval fortified city of Carcassonne, Cathar castles of Queribus and Peyrepertuse. Golf, tennis and cycle hire. Riding, walking fishing, swimming, and canoeing along the crystal clear waters of the rivers Orb, Cesse and Aude, or splashing under the waterfall at the ancient village of Roquebrun.

Roman remains in Nimes, the famous Pont du Gard; stunning gorges, grottoes, canyons and the magnificent vineyards of the Minervois and Corbieres with abundant wine tasting.

The long sandy Mediterranean beaches are half an hours drive away - Narbonne Plage with its cafes, bars and ice-cream parlours. Gruissan, a beautifully landscaped resort full of flowers, palm trees and oleander bushes, with a chic new marina, old port, and pink flamingos.
