BookThe West Wales / Pembrokeshire / Pembrokeshire region
Martletwy can be found right on the edge of the National Park. The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of Britain's breathing spaces, takes in about a third of the county including the entire coastal strip, the upper reaches of the Daugleddau Estuary (two swords), known locally as the secret waterway and the Preseli Mountains, where the Stonehenge bluestones are supposed to have come from .
The National Trust owns and protects many of the most important sections of the coast especially around Barafundle beach, Marloes, St Davids, Porthgain & Dinas. The trust also runs the superb Colby Woodland Gardens at Amroth and the Tudor Merchants house near the harbour in Tenby.
The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is the only one of Britain’s 14 National Parks to be entirely coastal in nature. It covers a third of Pembrokeshire and as well as Preseli Mountains and the Daugleddau Estuary, it also includes Tenby, St Davids, Saundersfoot, Newport and Manorbier along with Skomer, Skokholm, Caldey and Ramsey Islands.
The Narberth / Martletwy area
Situated in the quiet peaceful village of Martletwy near Narberth in Pembrokeshire. The bungalows are very well furnished, equipped to the highest standard and offer every possible comfort.
They are situated in a great area for walking and cycling and just two and a half miles from Oakwood Theme Park, one of the UK's top attractions, CC 2000(bowling alley and crystal maze) and Blue Lagoon, one of Wales’ largest indoor waterparks. Just a short drive away you can find many other attractions including Folly Farm Adventure Park & Zoo, full of all weather family fun, Heatherton and the Tree Tops Adventure Trail, the Dinosaur Park, TV star Anna Ryder Richardson's Manor House Wildlife Park, plus many many more!
For the sailing enthusiasts Lawrenny and Landshipping are just a short drive away and a visit to Cresswell Quay with a drink at the Cresselly Arms, where beer served fresh from the barrel, is a must. There are also regular barbecues held there in the summer. The Stanley Arms is approximately 2 miles away and Cwm Deri Vineyard and Restaurant are just a short walk.
For families with children, the award winning Folly Farm, Heatherton and the Dinosaur Park are all a short drive away. Just a few miles further are the ever popular seaside towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot.
And if all that wasn’t enough, there are also award winning beaches, islands, medieval castles, outstanding landscapes and historic towns with fantastic shops and galleries wherever you look!
Remember, there is no bad weather in Wales, just the wrong clothes!
