"Fantastic location but very sub standard apartment"
It would be hard to better the location however, parking was a big problem due mainly to the fact that I had been told that we could park our car in the adjacent car park for 15 euros per day. When we arrived, it turned out that the parking would if fact cost triple this amount! We therefore parked on the side streets instead but this was costly and difficult. We felt misled by this....
The apartment itself was spacious and the views from it (9th floor) were stunning. the views from the terrace were outstanding but we were surprised that this was a roof terrace shared by all. The photos were taken from an angle that did not show this. I was under the impression that it was private....
I would like to point out that this roof terrace would be totally unsuitable for young children as the railings are low.
Although the bedding and kitchen worktops were clean, the floor throughout the apartment had clearly just been poorly swept as opposed to hoovered and mopped. This was disappointing.
The shower was dire - it was just a trickle. The bath took a very long time to drain too which was extremely inconvenient and unpleasant. The shower head, if you can call it that, was caked in scale.
The toilet itself was not very clean.
The tap in the kitchen was just a trickle too which resulted in us running back and fore to the tap in the bathroom which was the only one with any power!
The lift, required 20 cents to function. We were not told about this in advance either and were caught out many times...
