A light, airy, spacious split level house with four large bedrooms, and fantastic views of the mountains in the National Park region of the Grands Causses" which is an UNESCO heritage site. The property has a bath and shower room as well as a separate WC at street level, and a further shower/dressing room downstairs. At garden level, there is an extremely large living area comprising of a small but immaculate kitchen, well equipped with fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave and all utensils provided. A dining area with table and six chairs as well as a comfortable lounge/TV/DVD/Hi Fi area which comprises of two large leather settees, large TV which has Freeview/DVD facilities. Off the main lounge area is the utility area which incorporates a very contemporary styled shower room/changing and dressing area. There is also a separate WC with hand basin off the lounge area. The utility area consists of a sink unit, washing machine and storage as well as storing the ironing board, iron, hoover, high chair and other useful commodities.

The main bedroom has a King size double bed, built in wardrobes, dressing table with stool, bedside tables and lamps. This room is located at the rear of the house and overlooks Roc Nantais, as do the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. The 4th bedroom faces onto the road, which is relatively quiet. The room itself is a study bedroom with double bed settee, built in wardrobe, single z-bed as well as a bedside table and chair. The travel cot is also housed in this bedroom. In the lounge area a log burner is available for use and logs are provided in a shed in the garden. The burner heats the whole house but there are also 2 electric heaters, one in the dining area and the other in the 2nd bedroom. There is a dog crate if a well behaved pet is agreed to visit.

Parking is available on the street immediately outside the property.
Changeover is preferably Saturday but can be negotiated, especially out of season. Linen and towels can be provided at an additional cost, at a charge of 15 euros per person.and can be found in the fitted wardrobes. Please contact the owner for more information.

Rivers Dourbie and Tarn are 2 of top 3 fishing rivers in France.
The Midi-Pyrenees region
The Midi Pyrenees/Aveyron is located in the South West of France and includes spectacular countryside, the Pyrenean mountains, rivers and gorges, historical sites including many Bastides (walled and fortified towns), medieval villages, museums and art galleries.
There are outstanding leisure opportunities, including walking, riding, climbing, mountain biking, kayak and canoeing set in wonderful natural surroundings. The area benefits from a vibrant community spirit with a fantastic range of markets, fetes and other celebrations.
Nant comprises of several bars and restaurants in a pretty historical square approximately 50 metres from the property. Le Petit Nantais is particularly good value and the proprietor speaks good English. Bar du Claux serves an excellent range of sandwiches and the owners are extremely friendly. There is a bustling market every Tuesday morning. Tennis courts and outdoor swimming pool with loungers can be found 2.5 minutes walk from the house. Activities like canoeing, rock climbing, aerial runways, parascending, fishing etc. are all available locally.
Local Attractions and Activities: 5km. Cantobre, a pretty medieval village built on the site of a 12th century castle is steeped in history. It commands a panoramic view of the Dourbie River. Small restaurant/cafe available.
32km. Millau. Beautiful and large commercial town with amazing views approximately 35km from Nant. There is a large commercial area near the motorway with a Geant supermarket and a host of other shops/cafes. Walk the beautiful alleyways from the train station car park; visit the large market every Friday. Take an outing to the Viaduc de Millau, the tallest vehicular bridge in the world which spans the valley of the River Tarn.
Roc et Canyon, the outdoor pursuit specialists can be found on the road from Nant to Millau, with canoeing, white water rafting, canyoning etc. Rock climging, aerial runways and parascending also available.
Fishing permits available in Nant at the Tabac - 10 Euros per day.

More attractions: 29km. Montpellier Le Vieux. Take an extraordinary journey through a surprising world of strangely formed rocks. Water and wind have sculpted these contorted shapes in the grey stone of the Causses Noir, creating a fantastic world of bewitching forms, decorated by a tender flora which evolves through the seasons, resulting in an infinitely changing environment. The surrounding area is well worth a visit and there are several restaurants/cafes which serve reasonable and appetizing food. Take a drive to Roque St. Marguerite and turn right following the road up into the hills. 30 mins from the property approximately.

There is also a good restaurant at Sauclieres.
12km. La Couvertoirade, medieval village, approximately 15 minutes drive from the property, located at the Larzac plateau, reflects the military power of the Templar Knights. Classed as a most beautiful French village, La Couvertoirade constitutes a veritable 'miniature' of the medieval city. Few medieval sites in France are as well preserved and this houses an abundance of restaurants, gift shops and an amazing Creperie.
23km. Roquefort-sur-Soulzon. Located on the Causse du Larzac and famous for the ewe's milk Roquefort cheese. Much of the activity in this little village focuses on the production and distribution of the cheese. A visitor centre illustrates the process of making Roquefort cheese and offers guests a chance to sample and purchase the product. Visitors can also see the Cambalou caves in which the cheese is aged before being ready to be sold.
Ski: The nearest ski resorts are near Clermont Ferrand at Le Mont Dore, which is approximately 3 hours from the property, south in the Pyrenees and the southern Alpes.
Golf: Nearest Golf centre is in Millau.
