Golfing enthusiasts will also love to visit Nairn as there are two 18hole championship golf courses and many other golfing clubs to choose from. For those who prefer to delve into history, Cawdor Castle is the perfect place to visit which dates back to the 14th century and beautiful gardens surround the castle. Brodie Castle is also offers superb insight into Scottish history and has an adventure playground which is great for children to explore. Inverness is a short drive away and offers further activities such as the Inverness Museum and Art Gallery offering interesting sights of different sculptures and art work throughout the years. Animal lovers will be pleased to know that dolphin sightings are common in Inverness with dolphin cruises, the seal and dolphin centre or why not take a trip to Chanonry Point which is the most commonly noted place where people have seen these beautiful creatures. Inverness is a beautiful area and ideal for walkers with many different places to explore such as the Ness Islands or the South Loch Ness Walk. Picturesque waterfalls are also a definite must see.
