The Scottish Highlands region

Natural and untouched, a place that has been unspoilt by the demands of tourism or commercial interests, the Highlands of Scotland is one of Britain's most beautiful and stunning holiday destinations.
Here you will find Britain's highest mountain ranges, miles of open countryside and a multitude of lochs; all this and an untouched coastline with picturesque coves and pristine clean beaches.
This is the place for a great 'outdoors' holiday with plenty of activities for all ages; including wonderful walking and cycling, canoeing, fishing, golf and sailing, beach combing and wildlife watching. The list goes on.
There are also lots of historical sites and ancient towns to discover in the Highlands which you'll find throughout the region as you travel along its quiet and beautiful country roads.

Nairn

The nearest pub, restaurant and shop are seven miles away and the nearest town is Nairn which is eight and a half miles away. Nairn is a pretty seaside town with white sandy beaches to enjoy, canoeing and sailing are also options. Closer to the cottage is the River Findham which is popular for salmon fishing and also there are local trout lochs to be enjoyed. As expected from Scottish cottages there are a plethora of golf courses nearby, many of which are classed as championship courses.
The Cairngorm National Park is situated ten miles south of Bell Cottage. It is a popular destination for active visitors who enjoy sports such as mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, hill walking, climbing and abseiling.

"great place to stay"

The house is very well equipped and in a grand location, the owners were very welcoming,
There are plenty of places to visit and the supermarket is about 15 minutes away , a fantastic beach is about the same distance.
If I had a criticism it would be that the tv is too small but as we are both good readers it wasn't a priority ,we will go again.
