"Fantastic house"

The house was fantastic and very high spec. However, I feel that the £300 deposit to be paid 6 weeks in advance of arrival is rather excessive. Perhaps owner should think about taking the depo… More

Hi there,

I am glad you enjoyed your stay with us.

Unfortunately Holiday Lettings/Tripadvisor doesn't give an option to stagger payments over a number of transactions, we can only have an initial deposit payment and a final payment. I will pass your comments on to Holidaylettings.co.uk as we would be happy to take the deposit a few days before arrival, if the system would allow it.

The house is self catering rather than a serviced apartment/house, but I understand that taking the glass recycling to the village and putting the linen downstairs may be an inconvenience at the end of your stay.

The only time we have staff on site is between lets for a few short hours, so having the linen removed and glass recycling taken away helps us have the time to ensure the house is in perfect condition for our next guests. We will take your comments on board and see if there is anything we can do to improve the process going forward.

Thanks again for staying with us.

"The Cluain House was perfect for us"

Most important, to me, when I'm vacationing:
cleanliness, comfort, location, setting, well equipped kitchen
Cluain House had all of this, it was a super comfortable "base" for exploring the Highlands.
Furniture, beds, appliances, linens-- all seem new. The house is surrounded by lovely flowers, shrubs, trees, and is situated in lush woods. The owner responded promptly to all correspondence. We also enjoyed a 10% discount offered on their Facebook page.
There was a restaurant nearby we enjoyed so much, we went twice--dinner at Sunny Brae Hotel. The food was excellent, the service was stellar. Also, Darcy's, just down the road in Cawdor, was great for tea & scone.

I would highly recommend a stay at Cluain House. The house is large and fitted out to a very high standard with everything you could need. A secluded spot with plenty nearby. Good communication throughout the whole booking process.

"Fantastic cottage, pleasure to deal with owners"

Great 5* accommodation in quiet peaceful surroundings. You need transport but the accommodation is worth it. Luxurious throughout with the added benefit of red squirrels visiting every day. The owner was very accommodating and we feel privileged to be the first visitors there.

Thanks for a great stay
