A spacious one bedroom coach house in the South Cotswolds. Just completed and furnished to a high standard. Lovely views across the Nailsworth valley. The Retreat is close to the historic city of Bath (20 miles) and cosmopolitan Cheltenham town (15 miles) as well as the beautiful old Cotswold/roman town of Cirencester.
Located on the trail of the famous Cotswold way the Retreat is within easy access to many stunning views and walks. If you enjoy cycling or rambling through beautiful countryside whilst being close to good restaurants and charming shops Nailsworth is the perfect place for a short break.
The Retreat is located a short 5 minute walk from the centre of the popular 'five valleys' town of Nailsworth which boasts a good number of great quality restaurants. Alternatively hop in a car and you are easily within reach of many country pubs and restaurants within Stroud's five valleys.
For golfers there are a number of good quality golf courses near by in Minchinhampton and Wotton all boasting spectacular views across the Severn Valley and beyond to the Welsh Mountains.
You can enjoy the weekly award winning farmers market in nearby Stroud: http://www.fresh-n-local.co.uk or take a walk along the canal which in its heyday was the artery between the Severn and the Thames and is currently subject to significant development to restore it to it's former glory.
Other attractions include; hot-air ballooning, gliding lessons, art courses and horse riding. The area is very popular with eventing having Gatcombe Park (2 miles) and Badminton (7 miles) close at hand. Cheltenham races are also a great day out and easily accessed by train or car. If open air concerts are your thing then performances at Westonbirt Arboretum are a great way to spend an evening. Enjoy an abundance of natural wildlife; as well as the local cows grazing freely on the common lands, the world famous Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust is a 15 minute drive by car. There is so much going on locally you really can enjoy a varied and fascinating stay without going more than a few minutes from the doorstep.
Tetbury (5 miles) is the perfect place for antique shopping and people watching while the sleepy village of Amberly enjoys tranquil views across the buccolic valleys of the area.
Enjoy breath taking views on the top of the world, hanging out with the cows while enjoying the taste sensation that is Winstones Ice Cream http://thefoodiebugle.com/article/purveyors/talking-ice-cream-with-ben-vear

The self-contained holiday let was a fantastic place to stay. It has every modern convenience to make your stay a home away from home. The quality of the furnishings and bedding was great and well laid out in the property. The hosts were helpful but unobtrusive. They had a good deal of local knowledge if you needed that kind of information. Fortunately, we had prior knowledge so didn't need any help as such. Parking was always available, which is great in this area when parking can be an issue for locals and visitors. The town of Nailsworth, is only a short walk from the property and has various amenities. I would recommend William's kitchen on the corner of Springhill....a breakfast to die for!! I would thoroughly recommend anyone wanting a peaceful a nd relaxing holiday / trip to stay here

"Wonderful place in a beautiful location."
I stayed here in May while working away with my partner and it was absolutely perfect for what we needed. The coach house was modern and comfortable and it's location was beautiful. It's was nice to be able to come back from work and have a little walk down into the village and stop off at some of the local pubs! I loved this place so much, I went to book again for the following week but someone had beat me to it!

The accomodation was very clean, beautifully decorated and equipped to the highest standard. The location was ideal for us, quiet, yet within easy walking distance of some lovely independent shops, and restaurants. We have booked another visit to the Old Manse Retreat in April and are very much looking forward to going back.

"Everything you could possibly ask for - PERFECT"
Our week at Old Manse Retreat was perfect, from the hospitable owners to the location of the retreat and the retreat itself. Old Manse Retreat is modern, extremely clean and is provided with a range of things that were needed for the stay that we had not expected would be available there. The owners made us feel extremely welcome providing us with a variety of information about the area and things to do around. The amenities are a short walk away including a Tesco express, a number of takeaways and beautiful pub in the centre of the village. We had a perfect week and will definitely visit the retreat again in the near future! We would definitely recommend the retreat to anybody looking for a quiet getaway. Thanks again Jackie!
We look forward to welcoming you back

"Perfect Cotswold Base"
Stayed at the Old Manse retreat with my 6 month old daughter for two nights whilst in the area. The retreat is a neat conversion on a peaceful road and met our requirements perfectly - very comfortable, peaceful and in good location (can walk into Nailsworth amenities & quick to get on road if need be). Looks almost brand new and of high specification throughout - perfect stay for a couple or small family. Owners on site and most helpful/on call should you require anything.
Great to hear everything went will. Hope to see you again.

"Excellent location, great views, a very short walk into Nailsworth."
The Coach House was tastefully decorated, well furnished, comfortable, light and airy and included all mod cons. The property had plenty of space for two of us, as well as pretty views across the valley. The property owner was there to welcome us on arrival and was very helpful, in particular with information about the area. The town is a very short walk down a hill and being able to walk to some really good restaurants made it a very relaxing stay. We thought it was an ideal place to stay and a lovely part of the world. We have booked again for May, as we will be in the area for a family gathering. We have already told friends and family about this great place.
We are so pleased you enjoyed your visit.
