The Phuket region

Phuket, which is approximately the size of Singapore, is Thailand’s largest island. The island is connected to mainland Thailand by a bridge. It is situated off the west coast of Thailand in the Andaman Sea. Phuket formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber, and enjoyed a rich and colourful history. The island was on one of the major trading routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in foreign ship logs of Portuguese, French, Dutch and English traders. The region now derives much of its income from tourism.

The Nai Harn area

Baan Rim Haad is situated conveniently between Rawai and Nai Harn. This is such as central location because within ten-minutes you can be at Nai Harn, Rawai, Chalong, Phuket Town, Karon and Kata. Within twenty-minutes, you can be at Patong. Within five-minutes of the property, you can be at shopping centres such as Tesco Lotus Express and the newly built Villa Market complex. Nai Harn Beach is also within five minutes, and is widely known as the finest beach on the island. With a selection of international restaurants and convenience stores within 1km, you have everything within close proximity to make your holiday a special one.
