The Island of Gozo region
Malta enjoys mild weather all year round and is very rich in history and places of interest. Particular places worth visiting would be the Museum of Archeology and the Nadur war shelter. Gozo has beautiful beaches both sandy and rocky, grottos and stunning sunset.
Gozo also boasts a large number of excellent bistros and outdoor restaurants which are also very reasonable in price.
The shrine of Ta' Pinu in Gozo is truly one of the most remarkable places to visit during one's stay. Other activities/calendar highlights include the carnival festivities in Nadur and the celebrations of the Holy Week during Easter. Last but not least the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin celebrated on the 15th of August, sees numerous Maltese and visiting tourists celebrating this popular feast in Gozo, many of them staying over for the long weekend resulting in the majority of hotels and other holiday accommodations being fully booked.
