The Balearic Islands region
The island is very beautiful and really worth exploring both in and out of season. There are beautiful walks and good cycling. The wild flowers and birds in the Spring months really are amazing.
The historic towns of Mahon and Cuitadella are very well worth a visit. The Paleo-Christian basilicas and monuments from the Talayotic culture should be seen and Fort Marlboro is a good example of British military architecture.
Mahon, the capital of the Island, is an important commercial and industrial centre. Apart from its architecture, fairs, festivals and fiestas which give it such a cosmopolitan and traditional air, the chief attraction of Maó is undeniably its extraordinary natural harbour.

Interesting facts !
1.Mayonnaise was invented in Menorca
In 1756, Duke de Richelieu landed in Menorca with 20,000 French troops to root out Menorca's British rulers. During his stay the Duke's chef invented a new sauce, based on the local allioli recipe, which was served at the victory banquet in Paris. Mahonnaise was an instant success and has gone on to achieve world domination. The sauce's name became mayonesa in Spanish and mayonnaise in English, although some purists still prefer mahonesa to underline it's Menorcan origins.
2.Menorca was the last place in Spain to fall to Franco
3.Mahon is the only city in Spain with Georgian architecture
4.Menorca has more beaches than Mallorca and Ibiza put together !
The old capital, Ciutadella has many monuments dating from the 18th century and is a charming town. Its harbour is a meeting place for yachts and pleasure craft. Ciutadella is located in the west of the island. Both have markets throughout the Summer. The island has fantastic beaches both easy to find and those off the beaten track. The horse festivals are held throughout the season. Dates can be found in the English magazine. The Roquetta.
The weather is very reliable with good temperatures from Spring - Autumn.Menorca is the first place in Spain to see the sun rise
Na Macaret is a small traditional menorcean fishing village .The beach is small and lovely . It is the little gem off the island and very few tourists know its there so it is mainly spanish and french .
We are so fortunate to have 2 of the islands best restaurants within 5 minutes walk of the villa.Tapas are also available.
There is a cafe selling bread, croissants and milk , cigarettes and juice.

"Beautiful, large villa , fabulous pool, easy stroll to the beach"
Villa Can Vincant has everything you could possibly need for a totally relaxing gorgeous holiday. Wonderful balcony with far reaching views over the sea. Very large terrace around the pool with ample chairs and tables and a very welcome gazeebo to shade from the sun.
A 3 minute stroll down to the beautiful small and totally unspoilt beach offers an irresistable early morning swim in the crystal clear sea. There are 2 excellent restaurants by the beach and a superb local cafe selling croissants, bread, coffee and much more.
Menorca is beautiful and unspoilt and Na Macaret is one of my favourite holiday destinations. I cant wait to go back to Villa Can Vincent.

"Wonderful Holiday, Fabulous Villa"
Villa C'an Vincent provided us with the perfect family holiday.
We were a biggish group with adults, teenage and older children so we took the whole villa but I understand there is the option to just take a part of it if you are a smaller group.
Booking was easy and the owners were very prompt in returning communication and helpful giving lots of useful advice about the local area.
Everyone had a great time, the teenagers enjoyed the night life in Arrenal, the main big town, while other members of the group enjoyed the fabulous outdoor dinning ares of the villa, the beautiful pool and just generally relaxing and soaking up the wonderful peaceful atmosphere of the place.
The villa is very clean, well equipped and cared for with everything you need to make it feel like a lovely and welcoming home.
If you want to self cater there is a great kitchen with all you need and several places around the villa where you can dine, inside or out, We particularly enjoyed having lunch under the dappled shade of the gazebo by the pool.
If you don't fancy cooking there are lots of eating out options near by. Na Macaret, a charming fishing village just a short walk away, provides some extremely good and reasonably priced restaurants and bars. It's great to be able to walk to the village as everyone was much freer to come and go as they pleased, not needing to use taxis or be dependent on adults to transport them.
We would defiantly recommended Villa C'an Vincent and hope to return again before too long.
