Mykonos is one for the most cosmopolitan islands in the Mediterranean, it is well known for its unique and many sandy beaches, excellent restaurants (from Greek tavernas to top end Thais, Italian or Japanese restaurants) and night life. There are bars, clubs and top rate DJs but also secluded wild sand beaches waiting to be discovered .

Mykonos offers a wide range of activities such as horse riding, sea sports, wind surfing, scuba diving etc, as well as boat-trips to Delos, the birth place of Apollo and Diana. The child friendly village of Ano Mera is ideal for families with young children where the central square is surrounded by traditional tavernas and cars are not allowed so that kids can run all around in this protected and very pretty part of the island.

The international airport and regular ferry boats to Athens and most other Cycladic islands (Santorini, Paros, Naxos, Ios and more) means that no days are lost travelling.

The house is close to supermarkets, petrol, station, bus stop and Mykonos town. Even though the cosmopolitan Psarou beach is just 10 min walk down the hill, a car is recommended in order to make most of this incredible island.

Mykonos

Agios Lazaros is a small peninsula at the south of the island, between Psarou and Ornos beaches. It is 5 km away from Mykonos town and 2.5 km from most amenities. The house is at the top of the hill overlooking an amazing view over the Aegean archipelagos and the sunset. For those who like walking, Psarou beach is 10min. down the hill, Platis Yialos 20 min. and Agia Anna and Paranga beach 35 min. walking on the coast line. Because of its orientation, despite the strong northern winds (meltemia) that blow most of the summer, most of the exterior areas are fairly calm. Agios Lazaros (or Cavo Psarou) is only some 10 min drive from the buzzing narrow streets of Mykonos, yet it is removed from the noise and traffic, offering an ideal place for true relaxing holidays.
