The 4-6 pers. apartments are on the second floor of a small building. the roof apartment on the third. They are fully equipped and wonderfully furnished with partly family antiques and modern pieces sat. TV, fully equipped kitchen, luxury bathrooms.
the 6-pers.apartment has in addition a small garden and the 2-pers roof apartment ( 30m2) on the third floor a marvelous terrace with wonderful views , ask for detailed description and prices and relating photos ,
the residence is on the coastal road , at 20 m from busstop and 50 m from boat stop . On the ground floor of the building are some shops and a pub-bar which is quite lifely during the weekend.

The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
Lake Como is one of the prettiest lakes of northern Italy, beautifully landscaped , surrounded by 1000m high mountains , still authentic al "Italian" , easy to reach from airport or autoroutes. Being at the south side of the alps, it has a temperate climate and is sheltered from northern cold weather . Spring starts in March-April when you are sipping your cappuccino outside on a cosy market square , early May all is flowering , you visit Villa Carlotta with " an ocean of azalea's" , July is the warmest month ( 30C ) but in the afternoons a lovely breeze refreshes the air. October is still autumn and if you decide to come here during winter: mostly bright and sunny , coldish, snowed mountain tops and skiing at one hour by car in St. Moritz, Madesimo etc.
One week is too short: visit Como-city, historical centre, weekly market for "that" bargain in shoes, or handbag ; take the boat and criss-cross the lake to Menaggio, Varenna, Bellagio; walke from your door step into the mountains , hire a mountain bike, or for a leisurely holiday drive up one of the mountain roads, stop at a small chapel, view point or trattoria, and panorama and taste the local food: pizzocheri with vegetables and rich cheese sauce , misultin ( sun dried lake fish ) with polenta , washed down with a strong Valtellina wine i.e. Inferno. Last but not least Musso is in the midst of the sailors 'and surfers 'paradise: strong winds in the afternoons, lots of sailing schools, international contests, hire a boat at the nearby marina or bring your own boat !
Musso area
Musso is a quiet little village , along the coastal road , it has a bus and boat stop at 50 m. from the apartment for extensive shopping and entertainment you depend on Menaggio ( 10km) , or Dongo, Domaso . Musso's "frazioni" the hamlets higher up the mountains were once only inhabited by farmers herding their animals, taking care of the pastures and woods. Worthwhile to walk up ( or take the car) and admire the views and follow the footpaths amidst meadows, little streams and you may reach the mountain top.
How to get there
By air: Milan Malpensa and Linate at 90 km , hire a car follow direction Como, then the lake road along towards Menaggio. Public transport from airports Malpensa and Linate to Musso possible approx 2.5 hours, will give you detailed info By air to Bergamo airport 90 km , hire a car , drive to Lecco , then direction Colico, then turn at the top of lake Como towards Como . Public transport to Musso possible, approx 3 hours. will give you detailed info By car from Switzerland: Gotthard or San Bernardino tunnel , autostrada, exit Lugano, direction Italian border, Porlezza, Menaggio. By car from East Switzerland: Splugenpass ( very beautiful) , Chiavenna, follow signs " Como" By car from south Italy: follow autostrada towards Milan, Como. Exit Como Nord, follow Menaggio.
