Della Filanda is a quiet apartment in the beautiful town of Musso on the shores of Lake Como. It has plenty of space inside, a light airy living area, tastefully furnished bedrooms and a wonderful terrace overlooking the splendour of Lake Como, perfect for sipping a cappucino on a sunny Italian morning.
If you want to be with local people and experience the real Italy and maybe even talk the language, then this is the place. The neigbouring properties are all occupied by the friendliest local people.
For the adventurous amongst you, hiking, water sports, golf and skiing are all easily accessible in the surrounding areas. The Lombardy / Lake Como Area
This is a quiet location, ideal for those interested in wine, good food, water sports, hiking, boating, windsurfing, hangliding, photography, visiting stately homes and gardens and great restaurants. Milan is 1 and 1/2 hours by car where you can visit the Duomo or view The Last Supper by Michelangelo. Milan is one of the worlds leading cities for fashion and shopping. Don't miss the Armani superstore. The night life ia varied with many bars and discos aimed at the young. Some bars, including the Hotel Brittania at Cadenabbia also specialise in entertainment and dancing for those not so young. Ballroom dancing can also be enjoyed at nearby Consiglio di Rumo.
Beautiful ski resorts in the Alps, both in Italy and Switzerland, are from one to two hours drive. St Moritz in Switzerland, one of the worlds most exclusive ski resorts is 1 hour away and Madesimo in Italy 45 minutes away by car. More local skiing where you can park right by the slopes and including night skiing are approx 40 mins away by car.
Musso area
In the picturesque village of Musso, less than 500m walk to the beach, every amenity is at your disposal. Musso has the added advantage of the by-pass and tunnel. The main NorthSouth traffic does not go through the village making the restaurants and shops quieter with clean air. The local bakery, supermarket, cafes and restaurants provide a true taste of the relaxed Italian lifestyle. A brand new swimming pool is just by the lake in Menaggio.

Menaggio Golf Club is only 10 mins from the town and offers an 18 hole, 5442m par 70 course, which is open from March to November. Equipment hire available. Very well worth a visit even if none golfer.
How to get there
Milan Malpensa Airport 90km, Milan Linate Airport 100km, Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport one and a half hour drive, Lugano Agno Airport 45 minutes drive. Ferry and boat pier in Musso. Bus stop 3 mins walk from the house. A car is recommended, but not essential. There is ample public parking with plenty of free spaces 20m from the property.
