The village of Muros is located at the northern end of the estuary of Muros and Noia, the northernmost of the Rias Baixas. Its privileged location and historical wealth of the town make it one of the Galician municipalities preferred by visitors. The beaches of crystal clear water and fine sand, in many cases almost white, follow each other along the shoreline beginning at the inlet of this mat, such Abelleira, Serres, Walls and Rubio, being in San Francisco and the Ancoradoiro the most popular the municipality, as its natural features.

Muros

Muros and Noia Estuary forms part of the Rias Baixas and is located between the estuary of Corcuvion north and south Ria de Arosa. It is situated in the province of La Coruña, and outlines their BARBANZA peninsula on the south coast. Tambre River empties into this estuary.

Tambre waters are those originating from its confluence with the sea, an habitat in which they develop bivalves, clams and cockles, which are the economic engine of the surrounding villages.

The waters of the river start at the beach "Aguieira" in Puerto del Son, on the south bank, and just on the beach of "San Francisco" in Louro, on the north shore. These beaches are located "As gaivotas" in Miñortos, "Testal" in Noya, "Broña" Outes, "Medron" and "Parameán" in Esteiro, "Cabanas" in Tal y "O Castelo" in walls, between other.

Among the towns to highlight are those who give their name to the River: Muros, behind Mount Louro was founded as a fishing village hidden from view of pirates and privateers is a medieval village whose typical stone houses make the town one of the historical artistic ensembles preferred by visitors.
