"Wir waren enttäuscht - Preis Leistung stimmten nicht"

-das Haus roch alt und muffig -nicht nach Torf- speziell die Schränke müssen erneuert werden-die obere Toilette funktionierte nicht - uns wurde erklärt, dass der Wasserdruck nicht ausreicht - desha… More

I consider this a highly unfair review, which completely fails to represent the how comfortable countless guests have found this house. Failte Ireland inspected it in March 2014 and certified that it met the four star standard. It is also highly unfair to the caretaker Charlotte Moran. The claim that there was a smell is simply incorrect. This house is cleaned thoroughly and no guest, nor the Failte Ireland inspector have complained of or noticed any mustiness, in the house or in particular wardrobes. The house has been continually occupied since 20th June. Additionally, the complaint about the couches is notably unfair. This house has high quality leather couches bought a little under two years ago, which can be seen in the photographs. It is simply not correct that they require replacement. Another complaint was the washing-machine door. It was damaged by a previous guest. This had got a properly done and temporary repair to the lock while a new door is awaited. The worst that could have happened if the repair failed to keep the door water-tight would a very small spillage of water. The guests arrived a day late, and not at the agreed time. Another compliant was of some sort of clicking noise in the heating cylinder, which made sleep difficult. No other guest has made a complaint about supposed noise from the heating, either to the caretaker or me. Moreover, I cannot see any grounds for complaint about the upstairs toilet. This had been recently replaced. Moving on to another point, the reviewer stated there was no internet for two of the days. There is pre-pay internet access with extensive instructions provided. Within twenty four hours after I was contacted about internet access, I used my own money to place credit on it, and to purchase an add-on. Next I informed the guests, but they made no reply. I will conclude by stating that the litany of criticism made simply have no foundation in fact. To conclude, it is our strong opinion that unfortunately the weather was unusually wet for the time the guest was in the house and they consciously moved after four days to the south-east, hoping for better weather. We believe that the exceptionally poor weather was what inspired the criticisms.
