The Saint Peter Parish region
St. Peter is in the north of Barbados. The main town is Speightstown, located on the west coast and is the second largest town in Barbados. This is a very historical place and was once a bustling port for the island. There is a large bus terminal. A museum as well as shops, banks and a Post Office.
It has a very relaxed feel to it, and is quite pleasant to wander around. Visit Mango's restaurant, which serves exquisite cuisine or you can sample some traditional Bajan fayre at the Fisherman's Pub on Queens Street. Casareep cafe ( opposite Courts ) is a great spot for a cup of coffeee or lunch - sitting under the trees on the beach.
Also in Speightstown, you will find St. Peter's Parish Church, which is one of the oldest in Barbados having been built in the 1630's, however it has been destroyed twice but is now fully restored to its former glory. You will also find All Saint's Church in this parish more towards the middle of the island.
On the west coast in St. Peter you will find two stunning beaches, Heywoods and Mullins, which are ideal for swimming and sun bathing. On Mullins Beach you will find the Mullins Beach Bar & Restaurant who provide sun loungers and waiter service and a great menu both during the day and at night. Plenty of water sports activities.
In St Peter you will find some of the finest west coast hotels such as the Almond Beach Village, Cobblers Cove and the Sugar Cane Club, as well as some large ocean front privtae homes.
Keeping on the west coast of St. Peter you will find Port St. Charles, an impressive development of town houses and apartments with yacht moorings. These are available for short and long-term holiday lets or are available to buy.
Travelling towards the east coast in St. Peter you will find St. Nicholas Abbey, which was built in 1650. It is one of only three remaining Jacobean properties in the western hemisphere. Its a good place to visit and tour the house and rum production - they do nice lunches too. Drax Hall in St. George is another Jacobean house -it is surrounded by 225 acres of sugar cane fields and is open to the public on special occasions. The house has an interesting past.

"Home from home in the Bahamas"
This lovely apartment in Mullins Bay, opposite a small beach with a good bar/restaurant, provides an ideal place to stay in Barbados. The apartment is luxuriantly furnished and equipped with everything one would need for a relaxing holiday. There is also a communal swimming pool. The location on the west coast is ideally situated to explore the many other lovely beaches and is near to Speightstown and Holetown.

"A home from home but with amazing sea views and the beach on your doorstep"
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Barbados staying at Bluebayou in Mullins Bay. This luxury apartment is kitted out with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay. The beds are very comfortable and the pool is fantastic. We had it to ourselves most days and when the children had enough we walked literally 2 minutes to the stunning Mullins Bay. We both commented that it felt like we were staying in a five star hotel but with more privacy! I would recommend eating out at JuJu's - delicious fresh fish and amazing rum punch!

"A lovely apartment in a fantastic location"
We spent the last 2 weeks of August here and absolutely loved it! The apartment is very well furnished/equipped and it was great to have so much space compared to a hotel room. The kids loved the communal pool, but the best thing for me was to be able to walk over to Mullins Beach (just opposite) and swim in the beautiful Caribbean Sea. 2 great restaurants within walking distance - "Mullins" and "Bombas" - plus the Indulgence Spa just down the road. What more could a family ask for! We hope to be back again soon.

"Relaxed stay with everything we could of wanted"
We have recently returned from a 2 week stay at this great apartment. It was well equipped, well laid out and very clean. Melissa came in every couple of days to clean up, wish I could take her home as she never stopped smiling. The apartment has all you need with a great view from the balcony which was a great place to have an early morning cuppa. Absolutely no complaints and would hope to be back sometime in the near future

We already knew what to expect as we had seen the flat before, and that was the main reason we chose to stay there. The location is fantastic, overlooking Mullins Bay. The flat is extremely tastefully decorated, and very functional, there is nothing missing from what you could possibly need for the holiday. There are some great small bars and restaurants close by as well as the more popular places in Holetown, and we would specially recommend Bombas just up the road. A great place for a restful holiday!

"even better than the photos"
Excellent in every respect. The quality of decor, location, virtually private pool, incredible sea views, cleanliness, facilities - this really is a top place to stay. Genuinely only two minutes walk from a beautiful beach, one of the most relaxing holidays I have ever had.

"Perfect family apartment in walking distance of the perfect beach!"
My self and my wife stayed here on our honeymoon and really enjoyed it. It's a beautiful apartment with a cracking view down to Mullins beach. Has 2 great sized double bed rooms both with AC and one with an en suite. Really well fitted kitchen with fully modern appliances. Only issue was that the ice dispencer wasn't working, but the fact there was even an Ice dispencer there shows how great it was. In a fully gated apartment complex with a really quiet pool and parking. Cleaner came on the Wednesday and the Friday too, so had clean towels and a clean apartment twice in the week which is really great. Also, the photo's don't do it justice! Overall, would definitely recommend!

"Blue Bayou, beaches and Johnstone's Whistling Frogs"
Our aim from a holiday in Barbados was simple: good dining; access to beaches; and relaxation. Located on the west coast, Blue Bayou is perfectly situated as a base from which to explore Barbados. Friendly neighbours and good facilities in this small complex of apartments made Sally and Fraser Wilson’s home-from-home in Mullins Bay an excellent choice for us. The apartment is generously proportioned, elegantly decorated and furnished, and features a well-appointed kitchen and lounge. There isn’t anything I could recommend by way of improvement; and I’m picky !

"Holiday of a lifetime"
Recently spent an extremely enjoyable holiday at Bluebayou, Mullins Bay, St Peters. Barbados. Highly recommendable for the locality, the general ambience of the apartment which is beautifully appointed with a lovely balcony over looking the bay,and in general, has facilities which make it a home from home.Very tasteful.. Access to the beach is extremely easy and irresistable. Mullins Restaurant is just across the road and apart from the excellent food and bar one can book boat trips from there. A visit to the turtles is a must. The area is comparatively quiet but for those of a different persuasion a short taxi drive is resonably cheap and easily accessible.
