Ocean View is a luxury open plan fully fitted private 2 bed, 2 bath apartment on the first floor overlooking the famous Mullins Beach and the Caribbean sea from a large private terrace. Situated in a quiet and peaceful communal tropical landscaped garden with a big pool and only a few steps from the beach with excellent restaurant, bar, SPA and all form of water-sport activities.

The St Peter Parish region

St. Peter is located in the north of Barbados and is quite unique as it stretches from the calm tranquil west coast right across to the rugged crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean on the east coast.

The main town in St. Peter is Speightstown, located on the west coast and is the second largest town in Barbados. This is a very historical place and was once a bustling port for the island.

Now it has taken on a more relaxed feel and is quite pleasant to wander around and visit Mango's restaurant, which serves exquisite cuisine or you can sample some traditional Bajan fayre at the Fisherman's Pub on Queens Street.

Also in Speightstown, you will find St. Peter's Parish Church, which is one of the oldest in Barbados having been built in the 1630's, however it has been destroyed twice but is now fully restored to its former glory. You will also find All Saint's Church in this parish more towards the middle of the island.

On the west coast in St. Peter you will find two stunning beaches, Heywoods and Mullins, which are ideal for swimming and sun bathing. On Mullins Beach you will find the Mullins Beach Bar & Restaurant who provide sun loungers and waiter service and a great menu both during the day and at night.

Also around these two beaches you will find some of the finest west coast hotels such as the Almond Beach Village, Cobblers Cove, Sandridge Beach Hotel and the Sugar Cane Club.

Keeping on the west coast of St. Peter you will find Port St. Charles, an impressive development of town houses and apartments with yacht moorings. These are available for short and long-term holiday lets or are available to buy. Here you will also find La Mer restaurant, which is within the complex and offers fine dining.

Travelling towards the east coast in St. Peter you will find St. Nicholas Abbey, which was built in 1650. It is one of only three remaining Jacobean properties in the western hemisphere - another one that Barbados is also home to is Drax Hall in St. George. The house is surrounded by 225 acres of sugar cane fields is open to the public on special occasions. The house has an interesting past.

BA and Virgin Atlantic have direct flights from London Gatwick most days and from Manchester a few times per week.

The apartment is situated just off Highway 1, south of Speightstown in the Beacon Hill development, just yards from Mullins Beach on the famous Platinum West Coast.

“Just Beautiful, I wish it was mine!!” This is the second time I have stayed at Ocean View and it's just perfect. The apartment is immaculate and is extremely well equipped, has wifi and also a docking station/speakers for your i-pod. I fell in love with the bed in the main bedroom, it was probably the most comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The balcony overlooks Mullins Beach and the pool area and gardens are just beautiful and extremely well maintained. Groceries were arranged for our arrival and an excellent taxi service was provided from the airport which we continued to use during the holiday. Sadly Mullins restaurant was closed whilst we were there but we then found Bombas, which provided perhaps an even better alternative and is an experience not to be missed! After all it's not often you get to have lunch and see the baby turtles feeding just off shore! I would love to keep Ocean View a secret and not share it with anyone but sadly it's not mine to keep. “Just perfect” Really I want to keep this place a secret so that I can guarantee a slot for me in the future but we had such a great time that we had to let others know. I don't know about you but we always check the comments before we book online. Let me tell you that this apartment is immaculate, well equipped, has a fantastic view (the clue is in the title), and the service from the support team was first class. Nice touches such as having someone do your grocery shopping for you on your first day ready for you when you arrive really makes a difference. Plus things like beach towels meant we did not have to carry so much with us, and the wifi meant we could keep in touch. The pool was great to relax in as well, and the location is perfect on the island with very easy 2 minute walk from door to beach. We would have no hesitation in booking again, neither should you. “Comfortable tropical villa by the beach” When not at the beautiful beach or quiet pool, we spent time relaxing on the veranda surrounded by palm trees, flowers, and birds with a sparkling view of the ocean. Wi-fi was available in and outdoors. The fridge ice crusher was very handy for our teenagers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Response: Thank you, we hope to see you again next year. “A clean, comfortable accommodation for two couples.” Trustworthy, friendly staff, who were generous and caring about our needs and expectations. “Outstanding location!” When Benny said we would be "bang on the beach" at Mullins Beach he wasn't exaggerating! The beach access gate (which is locked, you use a code to unlock) opens right at the side of the road. Cross the street & you are on the stairs at Mullins Beach! When the beach got busy and we didn't want to deal with the "hawkers", we retreated to the very nice pool and hot tub on the property. One afternoon while swimming at the pool, my daughter and I watched a green monkey come by scouting for bananas. The apartment is clean and bright. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and serve our meals. The washer and dryer were very convenient. Brenda came 3 days during the week to clean and change bedding. Very friendly and did a wonderful job. The dining room table on the balcony was wonderful for our evening meal as we listened to the ocean waves and looked out over the Caribbean. Each bedroom was large with ample storage space. I appreciated the glass windows and air conditioning throughout the apartment. Angela met us upon arrival to show us through the apartment, to the pool and beach and give us the remote control for the driveway gate. She also stopped by a couple of other times during the week to make sure we had everything we needed or if there were any problems. Benny, the owner, was great! Prior to our arrival he sent me an email full of things to do with websites and phone numbers. He included some fun facts of the Island too. My whole family loved the apartment and location and hope to go back again! Response: Thank you for your kind word. “Absolutely lovely, beautiful place, location, and view” We spent a long time deciding where to stay in Barbados and looked at loads of different hotels and apartments. After much consideration we took decided to rent an apartment independently. The site had great photos but these can sometimes be misleading. In this case they didn't even do it justice. It was such a beautiful apartment with one of the best views available. Only a stone throws from the easily the best beach in Barbados - Mullins bay, quiet and safe. The cleaner and house manager were lovely and so helpful. This place will easily beat any other hotel in a similar price range, it felt like luxury. Response: Thank you for your kind word. “Fabulous in every way” We are absolutely delighted to have been lucky enough to find Ocean View. It was perfect in every way. The apartment is fitted with impeccable taste, with neutral yet warm and comfortable furniture. The layout is generous and comfortable, the bedrooms are a perfect size, the kitchen has every pan, gadget and implement you might need, the living room is handsome and very comfortable and the best thing of all is the terrace with beautiful sea views fringed with palm leaves. We didn't get to meet the owners as they were away, but we were incredibly impressed by their attention to detail and their generous help in giving us all the possible (and very useful) information about the island. Ann, who is the property manager, is a lovely and charming lady who helped us in anything we needed - she got the shopping ready waiting for us on arrival, advised us on hidden gems of the island, and once we got locked out appeared in few minutes with a smile - thank you Ann! It was great having both Anna and Brenda at hand to help us and also to give us information about the island which is impossible to get from a book or the internet. We were also very happy with the location - quiet and exclusive but at the same time with every amenity you might wish for. We found Mullins beach a bit too busy after a couple of days (which didn't stop us from trying out various water sports during the first days of our stay!), but this was no problem at all since all it took was a 5 min stroll on the beach and we were on the practically deserted Gibbs beach. So, if you prefer the hustle and bustle of a beach bar, you want to try out water skiing (amazing!) or you can't do without a chaise longue on the beach, go for Mullins (1 min) or if you prefer to lie on your beach towel and only hear the birds and the Caribbean sea it's Gibbs for you (5 mins). For the first half of our stay we hired a car which gave us the option to explore the island, but even when we didn't have it for the last couple of days, we found that the public buses were super fast, efficient and fun, as were the taxis. The Barbadians are extremely friendly and helpful people and beside the marvelous sea, amazing food and exciting activites, the people are the real charm of this magical place.
