BookThe Western Australia / Perth Metro Area region
Welcome to Perth - the city of lights, sun, surf, and friendly people.
Bayz is set in the idylic beach suburb of Mullaloo. It is a popular swimming beach, ideal for children of all ages. Take a dip in the refreshing calm waters of the Indian Ocean or laze on the soft white sand. Enjoy a stroll, run or a bike ride on the beach paths that connect Mullaloo to neighbouring beaches along the coast.
Children will enjoy playing in the superb playground facilities and parklands overlooking the beach. Bring along a picnic lunch and settle down under the shady trees for the afternoon or indulge in a feast whilst admiring the stunning Western Australian sunset.
The beach caters for all, with a beach wheelchair providing easy access across the sand to the water for children and adults requiring wheelchair assistance. The local surf life saving club provides peace of mind with lifeguard patrols on weekends. The beach has lifeguards on duty all week during the summer months.
The Swan Valley is a 30 minute drive from Perth. In the region you will find wildlife and historical parks, bushland, arts and crafts, and most importantly, several wineries. Like the wineries in other regions, many of the Swan Valley wineries also offer fine cuisine with restaurants that are part of the winery. The Swan Valley is also breathtakingly beautiful in wild flower season.
Perth has a mixture of the Californian and Mediterranean climates, with mild winters and hot dry summers. Perth is the sunniest capital in Australia with an average of eight hours sunshine a day. The skies above Perth are often bright blue without a cloud in the sky. Combine the warm weather and beautiful beaches and it's easy to see why so many people enjoy the outdoor lifestyle of Western Australia.
The summer months are hot with an average temperature of 29 degrees Celsius during the day, and 17 degrees celsius at night. Beware, those from cold climates, some days around New Year's have been known to rise to and above 40 degrees celcius (about 104 degrees farenheit)! The warm summer days are cooled down in the afternoon with the "Fremantle Doctor", a strong sea breeze that blows in from the ocean. The "Doctor" blows away the hot air trapped above the Perth Metropolitan area, providing an excellent wind for windsurfing and sailing on the Swan River. Perth experiences a very low rate of humidity.
The winter months in Perth are from June to August and are mild, with an average temperature of 18 degrees C during the day, and 9 degrees C at night. The wettest month of the year is July, and the average yearly rainfall is around 880mm.
The Mullaloo area

Hillarys Marina with AQWA Underwater Aquarium, variety shops, restaurants and tavern is under a 10 minute drive down the coast. Here you can catch a ferry to Rottnest or take a whale watching cruise. Joondalup Shopping Centre (with over 240 speciality shops) and Whitford City shopping centres, both with foodcourts and cinemas are only a short drive or bus ride away. The bus stop is close by or Whitfords shopping centre is approx a 30 minute walk along the coastal path.
