Home description
Our house has been given the “4 edelweiss” award. It contains an apartment which has been lovingly furnished with plenty of wood. The apartment has two separate bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen block, and a shower / WC. 50 m² in size, it has plenty of space for up to 6 people. The house is quietly located on a southern slope and it has a beautiful view of the village. In addition to the breathtaking view, we offer our guests a fresh breakfast roll service, table tennis, a barbecue, darts, free sleds, and a new, rustic sauna with fitness opportunities. The centre of town, diverse restaurants, the ski bus and the hiking bus all within 5 minutes’ walking distance. The cable car can also be reached by bus or car in 4 to 5 minutes. You will also find a ski and snowboard school there. The splendid Hochkönig region is an excellent family vacation destination, both in winter and summer alike.

Muhlbach am Hochkonig area
Mühlbach am Hochkönig is a cozy mountain village, which is located at an altitude of 854 m above sea level. It is steeped in tradition and has maintained its village character. With the glorious backdrop of Hochkönig behind it, a vacation in this authentic mountain region offers activities for both young and old alike: a multitude of sports and amusements or the chance to follow in the footsteps of 5,000 years of mining history. Mühlbach am Hochkönig is family friendly, cozy, and inexpensive. It is one of the Alps’ most beautiful skiing and recreational regions. Guaranteed snow conditions are one of the village’s hallmarks. Hochkönig’s extensive ski region has 39 lifts and 150 km of slopes, all well connected between altitudes of 900 and 2,000 m above sea level.
How to get there
-Getting here by plane is very easy as there are several different airlines that fly from the UK to Salzburg. The transfer time from Salzburg is only about 45 minutes, mainly by Autobahn. Also Munich airport is only 2 hours away. Ryanair fly twice daily from London Stansted airport. Sky Europe fly from Manchester. Thomsonfly fly from London Gatwick, Coventry, Manchester, Bournemouth and Doncaster/Sheffield . Jet2com fly from Leeds/Bradford. British Airways fly from London Gatwick and Manchester. Flybe fly from Birmingham, Exeter and Southampton. Aerlingus fly from Dublin.
- To drive from the airport to Mühlbach am Hochkönig is very straightforward and picking up a hire car from Salzburg airport is well organised. Contact us for a PDF of the route.
-If you are travelling by car there is no garage in Mühlbach , so if you need fuel we can advise you as to where the nearest petrol station is.
-Alternatively if you do not fancy driving you can travel by bus and train from the airport to Mühlbach am Hochkönig with Austrian Railways. You can get a ticket from the bus stop in front of the airport.
