Robin is located 5 minutes walk from Stanpit nature reserve on Christchurch Harbour, midway between Christchurch town centre and Avon Beach and Mudeford Quay. Both 20-25 mins walk. Just a few minutes drive from the beach. Quiet and peaceful. The house has easy access to all amenities, including the local Monday market in Christchurch and several excellent restaurants and pubs.

The New Forest, with walks, ponies and country pubs, is just 20 minutes' drive away. The house benefits from its own private garden. There is plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

From Mudeford Quay you can access Christchurch Harbour , and the sandy beaches of Avon beach and Highcliffe.

Christchurch Harbour offers sailing, windsurfing, bird watching, kiting and crab fishing for the children. Famous windsurfing beach at Avon beach. Ferries run from Mudeford Quay to Christchurch town with its Priory, and also to Hengistbury Head. Visit the Nature Reserve at Stanpit Marsh.

Bournemouth is a short drive away with its shops, entertainments and golden sands. The New Forest with its ponies, wildlife and country pubs is only a short drive away.

The mix of fascinating heritage, beautiful coastline and countryside and wide variety of attractions provide all the ingredients to make your holiday extra special. With a great places to eat and drink, a wealth of thing to see and do plus a variety of festivals and events there is something to suit everyone whatever your age or taste.


Christchurch Harbour, a mecca for water-sports enthusiasts and fishermen. The picturesque quay with its lobster pots, old fishermen's' cottages and Haven House Inn has been traditionally linked with smuggling over the centuries.

Nowadays it is not only the centre of the local fishing industry, where fresh fish can be bought from the fish stall, but also a beautiful spot to sit and watch the world go by. Here you can catch the ferry to Mudeford Sandbank, a unique spit of land, which adjoins Hengistbury Head, forming a natural barrier between the harbour and the open sea. It is an ideal spot for a relaxing walk and is easily reached by ferry.

Stanpit Marsh is a site of Special Scientific Interest and remains an amazingly unspoilt area of harbour wetlands, which is exceptionally good for the observation and study of winter visiting birds. It has a great variety of marshland plants and animals, details of which can be found at the entrance of the marsh off Stanpit in Mudeford in the Information Centre.

Christchurch has earned a great reputation both locally and nationally for the annual Food and Wine Festival and the much-loved International Food Market.

"A nice holiday home in a good location."

We stayed in this house for a week and found it very spacious and had everything needed in a holiday home.It is situauted in a quiet area but within easy walking distance of both Mudeford and Christchurch. There was no problem with parking on the unrestricted street. The secluded garden with plenty of seating was very nice,although the weather prevented us from making full use of it. I would certainly stay here again if visiting the area.

"Quiet roomy house"

Great location in a wonderful part of Dorset. Very quiet estate. Plenty of room in house and garden. There is a downstairs toilet too. Bathroom has been updated with a white suite with good shower over bath. Note that main bedroom has a king size bed but a double quilt. Suggest you take unfitted bottom sheets. Very comfortable bed. Kitchen could do with some items being replaced or added, e.g. new mugs, bread board, mop and bucket and an ironing board would be helpful (there is an iron but no board). Great holiday. Thanks. Shame that I had to search for information folder and there is no visitor book.

Tke kitchen as now been refitted with extra equipment.

"Nice little house"

We stayed here in August 2011. It is a very nice little house. The only improvements i would recommend to the owners would be to update the bathroom as it was a little outdated, but it was clean and fully functioning. I also thought the sofas were a little dilapidated and slightly uncomfortable, but that could just be me. The owners should also supply better duvets for the twin and single beds as they were paper thin which would not be so good for colder nights (bedding was an optional extra). Apart from those small issues, this house was great, and had everything we needed. It was close to local amenities, and slap bang between Christchurch and Mudeford, which were both within walking distance (30 mins?) or 5 minutes by car. Also only 5 minutes drive from a large Sainsburys.

Both the kitchen and bathroom have now been refitted. There are additional duvets in the cupboards for extra warmth outsise th summer months.
