Exceptionally adaptable, beautifully furnished and fully equipped villa featuring air-conditioning throughout features one double and one twin bedroom(both en- suite) on the upper floor (both with ceiling fans), a double en-suite bedroom on the ground floor and a small self-contained apartment (known as "Kids-Kingdom") which is also air-conditioned and equipped with cable TV on the lower ground floor which is accessible only from the garden.
There is a spacious lounge-dining room with cable TV and CD player, a large well equipped eat-in kitchen separate toilet/powder room, shower room and washing/utility room all on the ground floor. The main patio is home to a gas fired barbecue and al fresco dining suite. The 30 foot freeform swimming pool is on a slightly lower level and is surrounded by a low fence and gates enabling concerned parents to stop non-swimmer children from straying. The gardens are a riot of colour and contain orange, lemon, lime, mango and avocado trees from which our guests may help themselves according to season.
"Heliconia Villa" is situated about a 250 yards from an excellent super-market and 150 yards from "Me-Shells" restaurant which offers a comprehensive menu. It is within a few minutes drive of some of the finest beaches in the Caribbean, 3 minutes from the famous Mt Irvine Golf Course and five minutes from Plantation Golf Course.

The Tobago region
Tobago and its sister island Trinidad are the most Southerly of the West Indian chain of islands and lay well to the South of the hurricane zone.
Tobago is renowned for fine beaches and a laid back way of life. Its inhabitants are probably the most friendly and helpful people you could wish to meet.
There are 2 excellent 18 hole golf courses on Tobago and there are many fine restaurants. The crystal clear waters produce many excellent snorkelling or Scuba Diving sites and just goggling from close to the many sandy beaches is a delight.
Beautiful scenery abounds and the oldest protected rain forest in the western world is full of exotic flora and bird life.
The currency is the Trinidad and Tobago Dollar which is pegged to the US$ at approximately TT$6 = US$1.
Driving is on the left, UK style and English driving licences are accepted by all car rental agencies. The official language is English.

ARNOS VALE Arnos Vale is a former sugar plantation. The beautiful tropical grounds of the Arnos Vale Hotel are rich with birdlife. Visit for tea at 4pm and watch the wild birds being fed by hand. You will never forget the sight of dozens of hummingbirds and other species feeding only a metre or two away. A definite 'must'.
Just a short distance further north of the hotel is the Arnos Vale Waterwheel. This was a sugar factory in times gone by, but now a restaurant and museum. The waterwheel is still intact, and dates back to 1857, but little is left of the original factory that the waterwheel once powered. Facilities include a restaurant, museum, gift shop and a small theatre. There are a number of nature trails, an Amerindian site and an old slave village. The park is open daily from 8am until 11pm and admission is TT$10.
BUCCOO Buccoo is a small fishing village. The beachfront is the heart of the village and here you can watch the fishermen land and prepare their catch at the fishing cooperative, next to the beach. There is a little boutique next to Sunday School that sells an interesting range of batik and craft souvenirs.
You can catch glass-bottom boat trips to famous Buccoo Reef and the Nylon Pool from Buccoo village.
Nothing religious here – Sunday School is a loud, vibrant street party. It is an ideal way of sampling one aspect of Tobagonian social life. The party starts at 8pm every Sunday evening when the Buccooneers Steel Band orchestra play pan for a couple of hours. However, the party only gets into gear about 11pm when the main sound system kicks in from the main venue, directly opposite the main beach. The music is Jamaican Dancehall with the best soca, hip hop and R+B.
Sunday School is a great place for people-watching. It is best to go by taxi and to arrange for the driver to pick you up at a specified time. Beer and rum are cheap and there are barbecue and snack stalls.
