The Galway / County Clare / County Galway region
Galway is famous for its culture, scenery, festivals & its people. Galway city and county is a tourist's paradise, with FESTIVALS & CULTURAL EVENTS year-round, including the Galway Races, The Clarinbridge Oyster Festival, The Galway Arts Festival. This year the Galway Races summer meeting is 28th July-4th August; the Galway Arts Festival is the 14th-27th July.
CONNEMARA NATIONAL PARK is a treasure, with rugged mountains and lakes.
The famous BURREN area of County Clare is only a short drive from Galway, & has unique flora, & extensive caves to explore.
The ARAN ISLANDS, in Galway Bay, can easily be visited by boat or plane, for a day-trip or overnight stay. There, you can enjoy a trip around the island by bus or horse and trap. You can visit the historic Dún Aonghus ring fort, see seals swimming in the bay near Cill Ronáin; swim at a blue-flag beach; experience breath-taking views of the sea, cliffs, ruined churches, monks' cells, etc.
SALTHILL, a few minutes' drive from Moycullen, has a long promenade, beautiful supervised beaches, Leisureland swimming pool and fun fair, and Salthill Golf Club. (There are three other golf clubs within 20 minutes' drive of Moycullen.)

How to get there
The picturesque village of Moycullen is approx 15 minutes' drive from Galway city.
If travelling from abroad, fly to Galway, Knock, Shannon or Dublin Airport. Aerlingus / Aer Arann / Flybe / BMIBaby / Ryanair all fly to the West of Ireland. Most other major airlines fly into Dublin and Shannon. Galway airport is approx 20km from this property. Shannon airport is approximately 1hour 20 minutes drive. Bus, car-hire or taxi can easily bring you to Moycullen Village.
There is a regular bus service from Moycullen to Galway city and to Connemara. The bus-stop is 5 minutes walk from this property.
