The Province of Ulster region
Redcastle enjoys a scenic and strategic location on the western shore of Lough Foyle, about 10 miles from the Historic Walled City of Derry. There are panoramic views eastwards across the waters of the lough to Binevenagh mountain in north Co. Derry.
A short drive northwards takes you to the seaside village of Moville. A little beyond that is the fishing village of Greencastle. Here you can catch the car ferry for the pleasant crossing to Magilligan on the eastern bank. From here you can explore the coastline of Northen Ireland and pay a visit to the Giant's Causeway.
Golf: Inishowen is a golfer's paradise. Redcastle Golf Club has 9-hole parkland golf course in a stunning setting along the banks of Lough Foyle. Ballyliffin Golf Club has a 36 hole course and an ultra modern clubhouse overlooking both courses and the spectacular sunsets over Pollan Bay. There is also an 18 hole links golf course at Greencastle, just 5 miles away.
Take a walk from the deck area, down the wooden steps to the seashore and explore the rockpools at low tide. Further along you'll find the ruins of the old "Red Castle" and by way of contrast, the modern, 4 star Carlton Redcastle Hotel with its parkland golf course. Adjacent to the hotel you'll find Leisureland - an adventure indoor playground for kids with ball pool, dodgems etc.

"This house is incredible"
This is a truly wonderful house, fully equipped with everything needed for a holiday stay. Words cannot adequately describe the location with incredible views over the Lough and in an absolutely quiet and peaceful location but with villages nearby and a hotel a couple of minutes drive away which was handy for meals, use of the gym and wi-fi access. We could not fault this property and the owner and housekeeper were a pleasure to deal with, with the breakages deposit being returned promptly after our stay. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place! We fell instantly in love with the house. The location, décor and design are fabulous! The weather was great and we were able to relax and unwind on the decking. One place we will never forget! S. O'Sullivan, Galway

"A Slice of Heaven"
What an amazing place! We rented the house with a group of friends over the May holiday weekend. Although close to the nearest village, the house is tucked away from the road right on the waterfront. It is not overlooked so you really feel you're away from it all - well apart from the seals basking on the rocks near the shore! The house is even better than it looks in the pictures - no expense has been spared on the furniture and fittings. The whole place was immaculately clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome basket was a lovely touch, especially as we arrived late on Friday night. Overall, we highly recommend this property. Although it's a little more expensive than others, it's worth it.

"Wow! An amazing house in a wonderful location!"
We have just returned from a wonderful weekend at Shorefront. The house is even better than it looks in the photos and in an idyllic location on the banks of Lough Foyle. All the rooms are exceptionally well decorated and extremely comfortable. The decking area is huge and gets the sun most of the day plus the views are superb. An added extra we hadn't bargained on were the family of seals on the rocks in front of the house - such a delightful sight! We loved our stay and would happily return - just for longer next time.

"A truly wonderful place to chill out"
The Shore Front is a special place to stay - the house is beautiful, well decorated with so many lovely little touches and has everything you need for your stay. The location is spectacular and the views from the house make you want to spend your time there just sitting on the decking watching the seals. The good weather also helped we even managed a BBQ in March. The only problem is we didn't want to leave and will definitely be back.

This is really a special house, perfect for relaxing around an open fire with families and friends. It really is a chance to take time out from the busy life's we all lead nowadays and to just sit around with a good book and relax. House is right on the ocean and makes a wonderful place to daydream. Do not hesitate to book your holiday here.

"Fabulous House - Stunning Location - Highly Recommended"
We had a wonderful weekend at Shorefront, only wish we could have stayed longer. The house was spotlessly clean and equipped to the highest standard. The views of Lough Foyle and beyond were amazing with the light constantly changing on the water. The visiting seals were a delight to watch while soaking in the hot tub! An ideal retreat to get away from it all - perfect peace and tranquillity. Communications with the owner were excellent and information supplied about the local area was comprehensive and very useful. Highly recommended.

"Best of the over 12 holiday home we have rented in Ireland"
The house was wonderful, even better than the pictures online. Fully equipped kitchen that made cooking easy and fun with a view of the water as you prepared meals. Really happy with the washer/dryer next visit will take less luggage. Location was wonderful, very quiet and peaceful at the house, yet only a few minutes drive from Moville. Loved the Inishowen area and the house is a great base for touring. Already planning a second trip.
Hello Dorothy, Just wanted to say Many Thanks for taking the time to write a review of our home. Hope you and your family and friends are all doing well. Best Regards, Yvonne.

"A magnificent house in a fabulous location."
A fantastic house and by far the best one we have stayed at in Ireland (and we've been to our fair share). The house is of an extremely high standard but retains the feel of a comfortable home for the family to enjoy. Being on the shore added another dimension with great views complemented an extensive decking to relax and barbeque in and for regular seal spotting. The surrounding area provides plenty to do for all the all the family in terms of sightseeing, eating, drinking and general relaxation. Overall highly recomended.
