Home description

The property, sleeps 2-6. Located in a quiet street at the heart of the famous artists’ village with an original ‘Lavoir’ dating back to 1894.

The house is 2 minutes walk to excellent restaurants, bars, shops and galleries.

At the heart of the Mougins village, is an original village house which has been carefully restored to retain its traditional charm combined with modern fixtures and equipment to meet every need.

Plentiful entertainment can be found only a few minutes walk away at the numerous restaurants in the village. The house is also close to the many galleries in the village.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

There is a small grocer 1 minute from the house where you can buy fresh bread, croissants and basic fruit, vegetables, washing powder and other provisions. 'Champion' supermarket is 3 minutes drive away in nearby Mougins town, with a large Carrefour in Antibes.

The wonderful fruit, vegetable and flower market of Forville in Cannes is only 10 minutes away, as is the famous 'Rue d'Antibes' which has good clothes and shoe shopping. There are plentiful restaurants in the village and bars and clubs in nearby Cannes.

The vibrant town of Nice is 25 minutes drive away, and a further 30 minutes East is the principality of Monaco, and then the border with Italy. Good eating and markets can be found in the villages of San Remo and Ventimiglia. To the west is the beautiful Lac St Cassien, the Esterel forest, the stunning Gorges de Verdon and pretty hilltop villages such as Fayence, Seillans and of course the start studded St Tropez.


Mougins / Mougins Village area

Located 260m above sea level, the old village enjoys a grandiose panorama over Cannes and the Isles of Lerins, Mandelieu, Grasse and the Pre-Alps. The village is designed in the form of a snail shell, its streets forming a spiral shaped by the ancient village fortifications. Like all villages, Mougins was encircled in ramparts with a parapet walk, which have partly survived along with one remaining old village gate: la porte Sarrazine.

The quickest way to get to Mougins is to fly to Nice, which is served by many airlines, including low cost airlines such as Easyjet. The house is 25 minutes drive from the airport and there are plentiful car hire agencies at the airport.

There is free parking in the village car parks at the entrance to the village. The village is largely car free, adding to its charm.


Conditions

Please note that the property is not recommended for very young children or disabled people as it is a village house, with the accommodation arranged over three stories. Parking is at the entrance to the village with steps leading from the car park up into the village.

A deposit of 20% of total rental is required to secure the required dates with the balance to be paid four weeks before arrival. An additional refundable deposit of £200 is required per week to cover telephone charges, breakages, extra cleaning and extra laundry.

Rental Periods start on a Saturday at 3.00 p.m. and end on a Saturday at 10.00 a.m. unless otherwise agreed.

Telephone calls are charged as per itemised France Telecom bills.

Electricity is included for High and Mid seasons, otherwise charged by meter reading.

Additional cleaning is available on request.

Collection to and from airport and local trips can be arranged on request.
