About the home

Located on the famous Cannes-Mougins Golf course, in Mougins, South of France, the host to several world renowned golfing competitions and only 8 minutes by car from the scenic beaches of Cannes and the famous Croisette, this picturesque rustic solid stone villa (built by the same stone mason who built the home of the famous & somewhat controversial French actor Yves Montand in St. Paul de Vence) is set amongst the indigenous pine trees of the val masque forest.

Villa Lana is situated in a quiet private Domaine bordering the Cannes-Mougins Golf course. This spacious villa is tastefully decorated with 175 sq. meters of all round paved outdoor terrace, a 13m x 7m heated pool and picturesque garden with tall pines & citrus fruit trees.

There is an open plan modern kitchen combined with a spacious dining room, indoor and outdoor dining, laundry, walk in larder and separate guest toilet; a second kitchenette is located in the playroom area on the lower level allowing the villa to be shared by two families with individual catering & dining facilities.

In the grounds lie the heated swimming pool, a barbecue area and a covered terrace for outside dining. Large sunbathing terrace surrounds the pool. There is a separate independent pool house apartment with twin beds and
en suite shower, sink and toilet. This makes the 5th bedroom.


The spacious master bedroom has en suite bath, large walk in shower, toilet/bidet facilities with his & hers wash basins with wonderful views of the garden from its own small terrace.

There is one guest bedroom located on the upper level with en-suite facilities;

A 50 sq meter living room and separate cosy library leading off an attractive entrance hall make up the upper level.

Upstairs master bedroom and downstairs bedrooms and TV room/Den all have air conditioning.

Two more bedrooms sharing an en suite facility (1 double and 1 twin) are located downstairs leading into their own spacious TV room/Den allowing the upper level & lower level of the villa to be closed off from one another for privacy, if required.

Each level has its own entrance from outdoors.

The Provence Alpes Cote d'Azur / Alpes-Maritimes region

Cote d’Azur is also known as the French Riviera and is on the Mediterranean coastline of Southern France. The region offers different types of scenic holidays for everyone – from visiting parts of the countryside, or staying near the Mediterranean beachside, or enjoy the breathtaking Alps, you will cherish every part this region has to offer.

The Southern Alps’ offers stupendous resorts that are curtailed to any age group and any ski level. If you want to try something daring, there is diving under ice at the Orcières 1850 ski resort.

Cycling trails can be found throughout the region for those who love to cycle and enjoy riding the scenic route whilst on holiday. The ”Véloroute du Calavon" is one of the famous 18 km trail in the town of Saint Martin de Castillon, that is found to be adventurous and enjoyable.

For the sight-seers, there is the must see historic centre of Avignon, the Roman monuments of Arles, the Roman theatre of Orange and Mont Ventoux.

Museums are renowned in this region and some to see would be the Picasso Museum in Antibes, the Modern Art Museum in Nice, the Fondation Maeght in St. Paul (that is said to be one of the best modern art museums in the area), the Musée Archeologique in Nice and the Musée Océanographique in Monaco.

Don’t forget to see the Nice Opera House and visit the seasonal Jazz festivals that take place along the coast!

The Mougins area

Mougins has several golf courses, such as the Golf de Cannes-Moughins. There are hiking trails available in the forests and countryside of Mougins. Notre Dame de Vie’s is a famous trail located in a park where Picasso lived at the end of his life.

The Musée de la Photographie is a pleasant and enjoyable tourist attraction, where it has a number of collections of photographs, including some of Picasso himself. It also holds a number of exhibitions throughout the year. There is also the Musée de l’Automobile that has over 100 automobiles and some of the world’s most famous and greatest cars.

Don’t forget to visit the Buggy Cross! It is a family-fun place of go-karting and mini motor racing. It’s suitable for children from fours year old and above and no license is required.
