About the home
The chalet is recently built and has been furnished to a very high standard throughout. The ground floor has a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge-freezer, oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. The wood burning fire in the dining room is a real delight after a hard day's skiing!
On this floor there is also a bedroom with two single beds, a bathroom with washbasin, bath and bidet and a separate WC. The first floor has two double bedrooms and a cosy sitting area on the mezzannine overlooking the double height living area.
The lower ground floor has a totally independent studio apartment for two people. The chalet also has an integrated garage and a ski store.
Location:
Chalet Buchille provides a rare combination of superb views, excellent accommodation and a very convenient position. The main ski lifts are ten minutes walk from the chalet. Skis can be hired and stored at the Intersport shop next to the lifts, thus eliminating the need to carry them back and forth each day. For those looking for a change of scene, the bus to the Ardent lifts leaves from just across the road from the chalet.
Facilities:
There is a balcony which runs around the chalet and from which there are truly superb views of Morzine and the snow covered mountains beyond.
DVDs, TV, books and games are all provided by us to ensure that everyone is well entertained.

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Haute Savoie covers the Northern part of the French Alps. This area has welcomed travellers and tourists in both Winter and Summer for centuries. Annecy, Chamonix and Geneva (just over the border in Switzerland) are perhaps the most well known of its towns.
In Summer the climate is warm and sunny, just right for an active holiday in the clear mountain air!
The Morzine area
Morzine is a centre for both Winter and Summer holidays. In Winter we attract skiers and snowboarders from all over the world. In Summer the mountains provide a fantastic backdrop to the town which offers many activities to the active holiday maker. Perhaps the most popular today is mountain biking, but we prefer the hiking, the pool and the tennis.

Morzine is close to Geneva airport, the journey from airport to chalet takes around an hour and ten minutes.

Minibus Transfers
If you are flying to Geneva Airport we can arrange for you to be met at the airport and taken direct to your chalet or apartment - see our website for details..
Car Hire
We recommend you visit www.holidayautos.co.uk who, as a broker, have arranged excellent deals with the main car hire companies at the airport. A small car costs around 170 euros per week and a 7 seater van around 400 euros per week.
Easycar no longer offer car hire at the airport themselves but now operate as a broker. They may be a useful alternative, so check their prices at www.easycar.com
Whoever you choose be sure to reserve your car for collection on the Swiss or International side of the airport. This is a much more convenient location than that on the French side.
Coach
There is a regular coach service from Geneva Airport to Morzine. This costs around 55 Euros for a return fare. Visit www.sat-leman.com for timetables and on line booking in English.
Ferries
If you choose to drive to Morzine and need to cross the channel we recommend you try www.speedferries.com, operating from Dover to Boulogne they offer excellent value and a quick crossing.
Trains
The nearest train station to Morzine is Thonon les Bains, from Paris the TGV runs down to Geneva. To reach Thonon you should change at Bellegarde. There is a coach service from Thonon to Morzine. Visit www.sat-leman.com for times.

We had a very enjoyable holiday in Morzine. The chalet was just right for us, the rooms were cosy but comfortable and the dining area was perfect for eating. My only comment would be maybe a a hose for the bikers but it was not a problem at all! The multipass was great the families which made it very affordable to get involved with activities in the resort. The biking was great as always, apart from our falls! thanks, Lucy

Lovely chalet and outstanding service from alptitude. I had a fantastic holiday and really enjoyed my stay in chalet Buchille. The challet was only a few minutes from the town centre and really peaceful in the evening. I had an issue with some wasps in the garden of the chalet and Ben at Alptitude could not have done more to resolve the issue. 1st class service! I will use alptitude again!

We had a great holiday in Chalet Buchille, 2 couples with 4 teenage kids, the room layout worked well, nice warm cosy chalet, and not too far to walk into town for apres ski. We skied most days from Ardent, about a 10 mins drive, free parking, and easy access to Avoriaz and beyond. Ben was helpfull and we would recommend the chalet.

We have had our family summer holidays at Chalet Buchille for a number of years now and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. The Chalet is comfortable and we love the views and the location - close enough to walk back from a meal/shopping in town and yet quiet enough to appreciate being surrounded by mountains.

Our party of 8 arrived to a spotless chalet, with a very nice welcome basket. the chalet was spacious enough for 8 rugby boys and the dvd collection provided was a nice way to spend the few hours between skiing and apres ski. Steve was very friendly and answered all our questions upon arrival, and was also able to direct us to a good deal on ski and boot hire. the airport transfer provided by alptitude was not only the best value for money we could find but also very efficient. we are already planning next years trip!!
