Chalet Dominique boasts an excellent, highly convenient location and spacious living accommodation. The chalet is located less than 100 metres from the main Pleney ski lift. Although in the middle of Morzine the chalet is set back from the road and is surprisingly quiet at night. The rest of Morzine's attractions plus the shops, restaurants and bars are all within an easy stroll. The chalet's living and sleeping accommodation is shared between the two main floors of the chalet and a studio apartment on the lower ground floor. The dining area is spacious and warm with a wood burning fireplace enhancing the cosy feel. The chalet has a large garage and a lovely garden. The garden is perfect for a barbecue in the summer and building a snowman in the winter

The Rhone / French Alps / Haute-Savoie region
The Haute Savoie covers the Northern part of the French Alps. This area has welcomed travellers and tourists in both Winter and Summer for centuries. Annecy, Chamonix and Geneva (just over the border in Switzerland) are perhaps the most well known of its towns.
In Summer the climate is warm and sunny, just right for an active holiday in the clear mountain air!
Morzine area
Morzine is a centre for both Winter and Summer holidays. In Winter we attract skiers and snowboarders from all over the world. In Summer the mountains provide a fantastic backdrop to the town which offers many activities to the active holiday maker. Perhaps the most popular today is mountain biking, but we prefer the hiking, the pool and the tennis.
How to get there
Geneva is the nearest airport, the journey to Morzine takes about 1 hour 10 minutes. Several Low Cost Airlines fly to Geneva, follow the links;

Further details indoors: On entering the chalet there is a porch which has ample storage space for ski boots. Next you enter the ground floor which is open plan with a dining area, comfy sitting area and breakfast area. In the sitting area we have a flat screen TV, a DVD player ,a CD system, some books and a few board games to keep everyone entertained. Wifi has just been installed for 2008. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough to make meal preparation a pleasure. Upstairs are four bedrooms, a bathroom and a WC. The studio apartment has three single beds a shower room and a WC. There is also a WC on the ground floor. The chalet has a large garage and a lovely garden.
Further details outdoors: French windows from the dining room open out onto a terrace with teak garden funiture. From here you have views onto the Pleney slopes so yo can watch the skiers in the winer and the paragliders in the summer. There are two parking spaces outside the garage.

We said we would be back and we were - same place,same time but different year! Chalet Dominique was a superb base and even better this year due to the fantastic snow.We spent most of our days around Morzine and Les Gets where you could ski for miles and 2 days at Avoriaz as the boys wanted to say they had skied to Switzerland!! The chalet was very well equipped and we were even able to entertain 4 extra friends who were staying near by.The position of the house would be hard to better and was great for our teen-agers who wanted a bit of night-life. We discovered the local Buddha bar which had a lively and friendly apres-ski atmosphere. Thanks again Lynn and Steve.Maybe we will make it a hat-rick!! The Roberts and Anderton families.
