On a small lane leading to the Mortainais forest, the house stands in 3 acres of gardens and farmland. It is located 4km from a village with all local amenities.plunge pool, broadband internet and sky sat are all provided at the house. You will have exclusive use of our nearby private lake which is ideal for picnics, BBQ's, fishing can be arranged (trout and carp), equipment can be provided. at the house there is undercover parking for 2 cars plus secure parking for a further 12 vehicles min.
The property is ideally located to visit e.g. Le Mont Michel, Bayeux Tapestry, Domfront, Fougeres, the landing beaches in the north and the beautiful beaches around Granville. our private lake is set in 5 acres and is stocked with trout and carp and is totally private.
The house has been renovated to a high standard and retains original features e.g. colombage and oak beams. Spacious (8x6mtr) living area, separate fully equipped kitchen (6x3mtr), 3 large en suite bedrooms and a wonderful outdoor area with decking, plunge pool,lawn and pond.

The Normandy / Manche region
Mortainais region of Normandy is steeped in history, nature and wildlife. Perfectly placed for access via port, road or air, Cherbourg has a fastcat service & Dinard has daily flights to UK. The region is famous for apples and pears from which cider, perry and calvados are produced. Also famous for salmon, especially in rivers See and Selune. You can walk for miles in the area along old railways lines or along the chemins (bridleways). There are plenty of places to go fishing and shooting. The Normandy coastline is scattered with information, memorials etc relating to the allied landings. Some market days are Sourdeval Tuesday, Vire Friday and Saint Hilarie du Harcouet Wednesday. Mortain / Ger area
The Bayeux Tapestry is about an hour and twenty mins drive. The Landing Beaches are about an hours drive away. The magical enchanted village of Bellafontaine is 20 mins drive. Medieval Domfront, with half timbered houses, fine examples of middle age architecture, 20 mins drive. Fougeres castle and wonderful gardens are spectacular, an hours drive.
