About the home

About the property : it’s a newly built property constructed using traditional techniques , and old Normandy furniture and tasteful décor throughout. Seven people can sleep here. There is Wi Fi connection.
It’s very clean, and pleasant. There is electric heating, Wooden floors throughout the first floor.
Ground floor : fitted kitchen with : fridge, freezer, dishwasher, hob, oven, and microwave. It ‘s an open plan to the dining room, where there is a sofa bed, TV and DVD player.
There are toilets, and inside the bathroom there is a shower, a basin, and the washing machine.
First floor : Bedroom 1 with a double bed, a wardrobe, a table, and behind the screen a WC (toilette) and basin. Bedroom 2, is spacious, has three single beds, a wardrobe, and a table. Covers and pillows are provided.
Outside : a large lawn, an outside sitting area, comfortable garden chairs and a barbecue are also provided. The horses of the owner are in the fields in front of the cottage, however it's prohibited to play with the animals.
Further details : If you have a baby, tell us in advance, we will provide a cot, a high chair, and baby bath.
You may bring your dog or your cat, as the garden is fenced. However it’s forbidden for them to go upstairs, in the fields, or to leave them alone in the cottage.
There is a parking space available for two cars near the garden.

There are outdoor activities in near towns. Some of these activities include; Crossing the bay on foot with a guide, beaches, town swimming pools and golf courses. Manche is a horse-rearing country, it's a countryside and its accessible coast are perfect for equestrian activities such as horse riding. Also, there is a network of cycle routes.

The Normandy / Manche region

• The Mont Saint Michel in the heart of the very nice bay is listed on Unesco’s World Heritage. You can spend a lovely time to discover the old village, the abbey on the top of its rocky peak, a lot of souvenir shops and restaurants…
• The D-Day sites, landing beaches, the museums, the cemeteries … are not far from the cottage.
• Other architectural treasures, towns of art, small towns and villages as Villedieu, Bayeux, Avranches, Fougères… have castles, churches, abbeys, art and craft visits as Bell Foundry, Copper Workshop, and museums.
If you prefer outdoor activities, you can visit Granville and Saint Malô, the cities of corsairs. Here, you will discover old towns, the Christian Dior museum, the harbours, the marina, the aquariums, the zoo… You can also visit the Channel Islands.
? Everywhere, there are nature sites, parks and gardens, the botanical garden of Avranches has a great view out over the bay. A few animal parks and leisure parks are nice also.
If you want to do sporting and leisure activities, you can cross the bay on foot with a guide, go to the sand beaches, to the swimming pool , play golf. Manche is horse-rearing country, its countryside and accessible coast are perfect for equestrian activities such as horse riding. And there is a network of cycle routes.
? Climate... never cold but never hot.

The Mortain area

Near the village “La Chapelle Urée” are the attractive market towns of Villedieu, Avranches, Saint Hilaire, that are a short drive away, and have all the shops you need, including supermarkets, cinemas and different kinds of restaurants…

How to get there: The village is accessible via all the main ferry ports and is less than a two hour drive from Cherbourg, Ouistréham, Saint Malô. Brittany Ferries have regular crossings to these ports as well as Condor Ferries. LD Lines has crossings to Le Havre which is a 3 hour drive to the house. The house is approximately 5 hours from the cross channel Ferry ports (driving).

Flying: Dinard airport has flights from Bristol, Birmingham, East Midlands and Stansted and is about a 1.5 hour drive from the house. Rennes, within 1.5 hour drive, is served by Flybe from Southampton, Manchester and Exeter.

Deauville, is within two hours and is served by Ryanairi from Stansted. You can hire cars fromm all the airports.

The property's weekend rates apply to: Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights

NB: Prices may be subject to change at the advertiser's discretion.

Price includes all linen, towels, pillows, covers.

Electricity not included. Meter is taken at time of arrival and of departure and honestly billed according to your personal consumption.

We also ask for a refundable breakage deposit of £125. It will be returned if the property is left without any damages.

We ask for 50% booking deposit and the other 50% a month before arrival in order to secure the booking.

You have to pay the “holiday taxe” 0.55 € per person, per night. Children under 13 years old : exonerated from the taxe.
