There are automatic gates which are ideal to come in and park your car and if you have bicycles there is a place to store them. Pets are welcome.The Charente Maritime officially has the second highest sunshine rate in France! over 2500 hours per year.

Joelle & her husband Michel a fisher man with their two children Luc (8) & Lea (6) welcome you to this immaculate cottage all the beds made up for your arrival. An extra bed in the children's room on request. The accommodation is completely private & not overlooked by the family who live nearby but are always available if any problems.

Les Rose de Trémières (Hollyocks) is set in over 2 acres of superb gardens with fabulous views in every direction. This lovely old fisherman cottage has a private fenced off garden ideal & safe for young children, There is a swing set, a sand pit and games for the children to play. There are two sunbeds and a parasol to sit in peace and quiet to enjoy your holiday in the sun!

The cottage is available for winter lets, please ask for costs. A booking Form will be emailed if a reservation is requested.
Conditions
The cottage is fine for the elderly but unsuitable for wheel chairs due to steps.
Children will be enchanted to find games in the gite as well as a swing set and a sand pit.
Pets can enjoy the closed garden.
The Poitou-Charentes / Vendee / Charente Maritime region
The majestic port of Mortagne sur Gironde is a superb village located on the Gironde estuary, it has a magnificent port and a wonderful countryside. The port has several excellent restaurants at competative prices for a menu.
The weather is very enjoyable all year round thanks to the Atlantic climate. The quietness and the tranquillity of this place will enchant you.
For fishermen there are numerous possibilities to enjoy your sport depending on your budget. For nature lovers, the days will seem very short as it is impossible to see everything. The ancient city of Saintes going back to the Roman invasion, fabulous cafes and shops with a Galeries Lafayette in the high street. Saintes is situated on the wonderful Charente river.
The Mortagne sur Gironde area
There are many activities available in the local area. These include: boat trips on board of the Origan, enjoy hikes & horse riding or donkey riding, visit the Ermitage Saint Martial, the post card museum, discover the Charente chairs, hikes and mountain biking, kayaking and sailing. The towns of Sainte Georges de Didonne and Royan only a few minutes drive away with miles of golden beaches. Meschers is ideal for children of all ages especially toddlers with its rock pools. A lovely town with lots of shops. All the towns have daily markets, Mortagne has a twice weekly market you can walk to (2 minutes)
