Oak Tree Cottage is a cosy holiday cottage located in the village of Longhorsley in Northumberland. It is an ideal base from which to explore the stunning Northumberland coastline with its beaches and castles. The cottage is ideal for couples, it is a cosy bungalow style property which offers accommodation all on one level. The cottage features an open plan kitchen/dining/living area with vaulted ceiling and wooden floor. There is a double bedroom with built in wardrobes and a shower room with toilet. The cottage benefits from Wi-Fi.

The cottage enjoys excellent levels of natural light and is decorated and furnished to a contemporary style. It benefits from a small garden to the front and a patio garden at the rear with outdoor furniture and BBQ. The cottage has a private car parking space for up to two cars.

Longhorsley is a peaceful semi-rural village with a grocery store and popular village pub both within 100 yards of the cottage. Just a few miles away is the village of Longframlington offering an award winning grocer's store and butcher's shop in addition to a further two excellent food pubs. Oak Tree Cottage provides the perfect location for keen walkers and cyclists with easy access to the Northumberland National Park. Thrunton Woods is just a few miles north which is a great spot for woodland walks or mountain biking, with spectacular views of the Cheviot Hills from the top.

Longhorsley is conveniently located just off the A697, making it highly accessible for Northumberland's top tourist attractions. The historic market town of Morpeth with it's boutique shops and upmarket cafes and restaurants is just 5 miles to the south. Alnwick with it's famous castle and gardens is a short drive north. A little further north are the beaches of the Northumberland Heritage Coast. There are many beautiful spots within easy reach including; Holy Island, the Farne Islands, Bamburgh, Seahouses, Beadnell, Newton-by-the-Sea, Craster, Alnmouth and Warkworth.

The popular village of Rothbury 'Heart of Coquetdale' is 6 miles north. Rothbury is home to the National Trust's Cragside House & Gardens, the first home in the world to be lit by hydroelectricity, and a very popular attraction. There are a number of golf courses in the area, the closest being Linden Hall and Burgham Park Golf Club. For clay pigeon shooting Bywell Shooting Ground is also just a two mile drive away.

The cottage is half an hour's drive North of Newcastle International airport and Newcastle's vibrant city centre, which has an array of restaurants, theatres, art galleries and shops. Newcastle is home to the Baltic centre for contemporary art and the Sage Gateshead centre for musical performance and education.
