"Friends recommended this as one of the nicest cottages they'd stayed in....and they weren't wrong!"

We really enjoyed our week at Tawny Nook. The owners live next door and were extremely welcoming & helpful without being intrusive. The standard of accommodation & cleanliness were very high and decor was tasteful and relaxing. We stayed with our 18 month old son who also enjoyed terrorising the sheep in the neighbouring fields. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to be back at some point in the future.

"Clean, modern, cosy accommodation"

Lovely barn conversion with extended views towards the sea (somewhat blocked by the conifer in the front garden) and a nice enclosed back garden. Very well equipped and perfectly located for exploring Northumberland. We enjoyed Cragside, which is just about walkable from the cottage, Wallington, Housesteads Fort and Dunstanburgh Castle, all with our three month old baby. Avoid at all costs the temptation to visit Longframlington Gardens, even if you have an hour to kill. It's the worst garden we have ever visited -unkempt, unloved and a rip off at £4.50.

We had a great week in Tawny Nook cottage! The accomodation was excellent and well deserved of its 5 star rating. It was well equipped and very clean. It is in a beautiful and peaceful setting, and a good location for exploring the area. Enjoyed watching the rabbits & chickens in the gardens, and the horses and sheep in the fields! Would happily recommend to anyone!

"The perfect place for a holiday"

Tawny Nook Cottage is an exceptionally well maintained and equipped property in an ideal location for exploring the Northumbrian coastline, There are several traditional market towns to visit as well as Kielder Lake and Forest which are all within easy reach. We were made very welcome; the basket of provisions was a nice touch and we wouldn't hesitate to go back.
