"lovely big house for full family holiday"
We had a great time at Rigside, there were plently of bedrooms and everything else we needed for a long weekend with family.
We were particularly pleased that there were 2 fridges, 2 ovens, and plenty of dishes and mugs etc, which meant we could properly cater for the 11 of us who were there.
This would work well for a group of friends too.
Only one slight downside, one of the rooms really is tiny, pretty much a short single bed and not much else, (we put the teenager there, he seemed happy), and another room needs to be walked through to reach one bedroom, but other than that, just perfect.
Lovely big kitchen with 2 tables that we pushed together, big front room and sunny conservatory.
We were so delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have lots of families and Hen parties visiting and it is always lovely to hear positive responses. We always put in lots of extra kitchen equipment, so that you have enough for large parties. Robin is a small room, and we do say that on the website, I hope your teenager wasn't too unhappy! Please visit us again, you were a delightful group.

"Well situated, but the house lacked TLC and was disappointing"
This could be a really good holiday let, but there was a lack of investment evident in the upkeep of furnishings and general decor which disappointed us. The sofas look as though they had come from a… More
Thank you for your feedback and your comments. Our house is very competitively priced, compared to similar properties in the area for this reason, specifically because we keep the house highly comfortable, for family gathering, so that they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I am sorry you had problems with getting the televisions to work, but am glad that this was sorted out for you at the time.

"An unlucky week"
The cottage itself is great for a large group with enough room for everyone to do their own thing and a large enough sitting room for all of us to join together in the evenings. The location of the cottage is also excellent for day attractions and walking.
Unfortunately we had a spate of house problems during our visit which included the cess pit overflowing into the garden, the sewage pipe from the upstairs toilets overflowing over the kitchen door and the caretaker lighting a fire in the back garden and burning plastic. There were a number of appliances in the house that did not work which was unfortunate, but luckily we had bought alternatives with us of most things.
Overall we had an enjoyable time at the cottage and I am sure that the incidents that occurred during our stay were unfortunate and irregular.
Thank you so much for your comments. As you know the flooding had been very extreme, and so we had to have the drain cleared twice, especially as previous tenants had put nappies down the drain! I do apologise for the inconvenience and am glad you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Please come and see us again. Kindest regards
