The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Moraira is really the jewell of the coastline, offering a diverse mix of long sandy beaches and smaller coves. The area is very green and shaded from any harsh weather by the Sierra Mountain range, which make back drop of the area very interesting and beautiful. They also offer a great place to go walking in winter.
Moraira offers much in the way of cuisine, from menu del dia for very little money to more affluent restaurants, there is something for everyone..kids included. The cobbled streets lined with small shops to the beach offers a lovely stroll in the evenings as well as plenty of quality bars to relax and enjoy a nice glass of wine with views to the Med.
Moraira brings people from all over the world, making the tourism very different here. Most importantly, this remains a cosmopolitan Spanish resort. The night market in summer has plenty of gifts to buy and also makes for a really bustling atmosphere.
During the day, Moraira has watersports and diving on hand for anyone that would like more action from their holiday!
The usually sleepy village of Moraira comes alive with the amazing fiestas. One of the favourite being Moors and Christians, where all of the village takes part in a huge display and battle reinactment, then on the Sunday a colourful and tuneful parade takes over the village!
At night, for those that prefer to stay out late, there are some great places to socialize..carrying on the fiestas!
Moraira / Moravit area
One of the most popular, yet exclusive areas of the beautiful Costa Blanca north. Moraira offers something for everyone and attracts a variety of nationalities year after year. Probably one of the coasts best kept secrets, it is not over populated yet people that visit return again and again and pass the secret on to family and friends.
The town sits next to a rugged yet scenic coastline, offering plenty of long sandy beaches, as well as small coves to explore. There are many different bars and restaurants available as well as plenty of boutique shops around the main square. The port in Moraira is a great place to sit and enjoy the views of the Mediterranean with a glass of local wine. Altogether a truly memorable place.
