Exceptionally spacious and fully air-conditioned 4 bedroom/3 bathroom detached villa peacefully situated in an elevated position with great views to the sea. It has a larger than average sized private pool, pretty gardens, and is just 5/10 minutes drive from 3 lovely beaches, the up-market seaside town of Moraira, and many excellent restaurants for eating out.
The living/dining room opens directly onto the spacious covered terrace - which overlooks the pool - and is perfect for al-fresco dining.
With 2 double bedrooms (one of which has a large en-suite bathroom with corner spa bath), 2 twin bedrooms, and 2 further bathrooms, the villa is ideal for families or groups of friends, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
Please note: SMOKING is not permitted inside the villa, but allowed on the covered terrace/exterior areas.

The villa is on 2 levels. The upper level (reached by a few steps down from the garden gate) has a large, comfortable living/dining room which opens onto the covered terrace overlooking the private pool, and a spacious kitchen and utility room. In addition to the kitchen equipment listed, there is a coffee machine. Also on this level is the master bedroom which has a large en-suite bathroom with corner spa bath and shower over.
On the lower level, reached by an internal staircase, there is a further double bedroom, two twin bedrooms (one of which opens directly onto the pool area), a full bathroom, and a large shower room (with walk-in shower).
Cot can be provided for an infant on request for a small extra charge payable locally.
The property benefits from full hot/cold air conditioning units.

The south-facing private pool is kidney-shaped, and larger than average - approximately 12m x 5m, and surrounded by extensive sun terracing with sun-beds & parasols. There is a built-in BBQ.
The covered terrace has a table and chairs and seats 8.
The villa has very pretty landscaped gardens, and off-road parking for 2 cars.

PLACES TO VISIT:
BENIDORM (approx. 45 mins drive): Major tourist resort, very commercial, lots of shops, the best beaches in Europe, and unrivalled nightlife.
TERRA MITICA THEME PARK, TERRA NATURA WILDLIFE PARK, AQUALANDIA WATER PARK, & MUNDOMAR (dolphin & sea lion shows) are all located here. Great fun for all ages!
Also BENIDORM PALACE for a good meal, flamenco cabaret, & dancing.
VERGEL SAFARI PARK - hundreds of wild animals.
CALPE (25 mins drive): Rock of Ifach - a bird/wildlife sanctuary, and Las Salinas Salt Lakes - where pink flamingos congregate. There is also an interesting port area that has some fantastic fish restaurants.
ALTEA (30 mins drive): A coastal town with its own fishing fleet & dating back to 1562. Old town is very quaint & has many good restaurants.
VALENCIA (1 hour's drive north): Spain's 3rd largest city & thought to be more than 2000 years old, and a former Moorish capital. Sights include the Cathedral, the Silk Exchange, Ceramic Museum, & numerous art galleries. Sophisticated shops & magnificent covered food market. Don't miss the futuristic Arts & Science Muesum.
JALON VALLEY ( 30 mins drive inland): Fabulous scenery & unspoilt Spanish villages. Here you can see how rural life in Spain has remained unchanged for centuries. Famed for its wine production. From the vantage point of Coll de Rates, it's possible to see the whole valley and, on a clear day, the island of Ibiza.
GUADALEST: A mountain village 25kms inland from Benidorm - the 2nd most photographed place in Spain! The views from here are stunning. Built by the Moors to defend themselves from invasion, it is entered by going through a hole in the cliff face.
FONTS D'ALGAR: Situated on the way back from Guadalest - cascading waterfalls & fresh water pools where you can have a welcome swim after a hot day!
The Moraira / Valle Del Portet area
AMENITIES: There are banks and 3 supermarkets within 5 mins drive, and a huge choice of restaurants offering all kinds of international cuisine. There are also many rural restaurants to try within easy distance offering set menus at low prices.
NEARBY BEACHES: The villa is 10 mins drive from the beaches at Moraira (wide, sandy beach) & El Portet (a sandy, picturesque bay with wonderful views). Both of these beaches are suitable for children. The beach at Cumbre del Sol, which is secluded & virtually undeveloped, is also 10 mins drive. They all have toilets & restaurant facilities. Javea is 15 mins drive, has large, sandy beaches & a huge choice of restaurants. In addition, there are many unspoilt coves & viewpoints to discover within easy driving distance.
LOCAL PLACES TO VISIT: MORAIRA (10 mins drive): Formerly a small fishing village - now an up-market town retaining a village atmosphere. Beautiful beach, excellent selection of bars & restaurants, & a lively shopping area, including a market on Friday mornings. On summer evenings, small craft market is held in the town, and there is often live music in the main square - lovely to listen to whilst you are eating al-fresco at one of the restaurants which surround the square. In mid-June, the town stages its annual "Moors & Christians" fiesta which is spectacular. It includes a "battle" around the castle, and culminates in a grand parade with fantastic costumes & floats. Not to be missed!
JAVEA (15 mins drive): A fascinating mix of old & new - lovely beach, huge choice of restaurants in the port area, and an unspoilt old town which is fun to explore.
BENITACHELL & TEULADA (both 10 mins drive): Small typical Spanish towns with narrow streets full of pretty houses.
DENIA (25 mins drive): Historic major town, a castle proudly surveying the port, and good beaches. You can drive to Denia over the Montgo (Sleeping Elephant) mountain, which is a national park.

The villa is situated mid-way between Alicante airport to the south, and Valencia airport to the north. Both are 1 hour's easy drive, and "door to door" driving instructions are provided. Car hire essential.

We have just enjoyed a lovely stay at villa Casa Julia The villa was lovely and spacious the weather was wonderful and best of all no fighting for sunbeds round the pool!!!!!!! there is sun on the pool from 9am to 7pm everyday :) There is enough space between the villas that no one is looking onto your pool area The pool is a lovely size and deep enough for swimming, there is plenty space round the pool for sunbathing and relaxing Howard the pool man was excellent at looking after it, its the first year my son hasn't come home with an ear infection from swimming in the pool 4 lovely spacious bedrooms, 3 bathrooms so plenty room for everyone, BBQ was used plenty on our stay, got to keep the men busy somehow haha I don't think i have slept so much on one holiday, but that was the plan :) Its the first time we have booked a villa and driven in Spain, so we had a little concern about driving but the roads were all decent roads, and not too much traffic so it was easy, you certainly need a car for this villa as it is half way up a steep hill, so you wouldn't want to walk back up it There was a supermarket just at the bottom of the road that sold everything, remember if you are arriving on a Sunday that the supermarkets are only open till lunch time, luckily we found one supermarket on the roundabout in Moraira that didn't close till 8pm, but its the only one Moraira was a very nice town with plenty places to eat and drink, there is a very large carpark as you drive into the town, with plenty parking spaces We have certainly been converted to villa holidays are so much more relaxing than fighting round a pool in a hotel, just a shame we had to come home |

PRICES shown are for up to 4 people or 5-8 people and are inclusive of cleaning before & after your stay, water, gas, electricity, towels and bed linen with weekly change.
We are happy to accept bookings for part-weeks (subject to a minimum of 7 days), the extra days being charged pro-rata, and arrival/departure days are flexible.
If you require air conditioning, there is an extra charge of £30 per week (for the entire villa, not per person), payable with the balance. The villa is fully air-conditioned, having individual remote controlled hot/cold air-con units in all bedrooms and the living/dining area.
25% of total cost is payable on booking (which must be paid in GB£), and the balance becomes due 8 weeks before departure. We can accept the balance payment in GB£ or euros.
In addition, there is £150 security deposit (payable with the balance), which is refunded within 14 days of your return home, provided no major breakages or losses have been incurred, and we are in receipt of the keys.
The total cost plus security deposit will be payable on bookings made within 8 weeks of departure.
Payments are accepted by cheque, bank transfer, or PayPal.
LONG TERM LETS (1 month or more) AT REDUCED RATES between 1 October and 31 March: £1200 per calendar month for group size 5/8 persons, and £800 per calendar month for up to 4 person occupancy. Heating/water/gas: £100 per calendar month in addition to the above rates. If required, we can also arrange for bed linen/towels to be changed weekly for an extra charge, payable locally.
