The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

This region of the Costa Blanca has a temperate climate all year round with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year. The temperature in summer can reach 35 degrees with winter averages of 16 degrees. The spectacular landscape consists of mountains, with cherries, olives and almonds. Lush green valleys of orange and lemon groves and numerous vineyards.
The cathedral city of Valencia to the north and the port of Alicante to the south are well worth a visit.. So too are the beach resorts of Calpe and Javea. The unspoilt Jalon valley has spectacular scenic views of the mountains, a paradise for walkers.
The Moraira / Tabaira area
Moraira was a tiny fishing village which has evolved into an unspoilt exclusive holiday destination. It boasts a bustling harbour with restaurant and walks surrounding it. The beautiful beach can be reached from several directions, one of which is a walk from the large car park through a tropical oasis of palm trees. The stunning landscape of white washed villas is free of high-rise buildings, the wonderful old Moorish Fort that sits proudly on the beach and the fountains and flowers leading to it make Moraira a photographers' paradise. In Moraira itself there is an array of quality boutiques and restaurants and along the breathtaking coastal road to Calpe you will find a multitude of quality restaurants, cafes and bars where cuisine is both regional and international so that you could enjoy a different style and taste to suit every day and every night.
There is a small shopping centre at Tabaira, just a 5-10 minute walk away, complete with well stocked supermarket, bakery, newsagents, card and gift shop, hairdressers, two restaurants (one with take-away Pizzeria), three bars and a car hire/taxi office. Next to supermarket there is a handy post box and telephone booth. Slightly further away 10-15 minute walk or short drive is Sol Park where there is tennis, mini-golf, bowling, pool and restaurant and bar. Opposite is a bank and cash point and the ever popular Pan Pan Jamon Jamon deli and restaurant where possibly the best pan (baguettes) in Moraira can be purchased. The Blue Flag beach of Moraira is approx.1.5 kms from the villa.
The Moors and Christians festival and Grand Parade is held in Moraira in June. The annual Fiesta in Moraira takes place in July with spectacular music and fireworks. The Semana Santa (Easter) festival is held in Teulada. The local market is held on every Friday throughout the year. The Rastro market (boot fair) is held in Teulada each Sunday morning. The Muscatel festival is held in Teulada every September. Golf, Fishing, Tennis, Watersports, Bowling and walking are all available.
