The apartment has a south facing sunny lounge leading out onto an "all day sun" roof terrace with lovely views looking towards the Penon de Ifach at Calpe and the Mediterranean Sea. The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Moraira and Calpe are ideally situated between a coast with both sandy beaches and rocky coves, and the mountains of the Marina Alta. The climate is ideal both for holidays and all-the-year-round living. The World Health Organisation has identified the northern Costa Blanca as having as near to an ideal climate as possible, being neither overwhelmingly hot in summer nor unpleasantly cold in winter. Average temperatures range from the mid-eighties (26-29C) in the high season to the low sixties (15C) in the middle of winter, and even in winter the average number of rainy days is around only five per month.
Moraira / Buenavista Benissa area
Moraira is part of the municipality of Teulada, situated about four miles inland. In earlier times the centres of population were situated away from the coasts to offer some protection from marauding pirates and invaders - Romans, Moors, Berbers etc. Moraira developed as the fishing port for Teulada, and both the lookout tower (Torre-vigia) on Cap d'Or overlooking Moraira's El Portet beach, and the Castle are reminders of the past.
In more recent times this quiet and peaceful fishing port has become a busy yet pleasant resort, which can perhaps best be summarised by what it doesn't have. There are no high-rises, no large hotels, no package tours, and no large and noisy nightclubs. It is simply a small yet busy town with many shops, restaurants and bars, surrounded by whitewashed villas nestling on the tree-covered hillsides. It has a large and multi-national resident population, and therefore remains lively throughout the year. Its popularity can be judged by the very large number of visitors who return year after year.
Moraira has four beaches, each very different in character from the others. The beach of El Portet is the northernmost of these, being situated at the end of a sheltered shell-shaped bay, quiet with clear water and a gently sloping seabed, being ideal and safe for swimming. The town beach, or L'Ampolla, is a large sandy beach with a play area and restaurants. Platgetes is quieter and partly sand/partly rock; and L'Andrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkelling. Both to the north and south of Moraira there are many secluded bays and coves well worth exploring. Caple has two beaches both blue flag with lovely golden sand lots of bars and restaurants also play areas for children. Great for sunbathing and swimming.
Watersports that can be enjoyed include swimming, snorkelling, scuba-diving, jetskiing, windsurfing, and for the less energetic, sunbathing. The three main beaches are all European blue flagged, and zoned and lifeguarded so that various activities can be enjoyed safely. Other sports include walking, climbing, cycling and horse-riding.

Further details indoors: The apartment and gardens have just been refurbished to a high standard, and is very clean and well equipped. It is on the first floor and has wonderful sea and mountain views. The Sunny roof terrace has table and chairs and a sun awning for al fresco dining. There is also a safe deposit box. In the kitchen / diner there is table and 2 chairs, juicer, toaster,kettle, conbination microwave with oven, hob.,fridge/freezer iron & ironing board and plenty of utensils. There is also a clothes airer.
Further details outdoors: The villa is at the end of a quiet cul-de sac with covered off street parking. The swimming pool is new in April 2006 & heated for all year round use, and is on a salt system which is heathier for the skin and eyes. It is set in the private rear garden. There is also an outdoor shower for cooling off. The pool side terrace has sun loungers and parasols for relaxing and sunbathing. There are tables and chairs around the garden in sunny and shady areas. Also a BBQ.
Further details
The pool and garden area are only shared with the couple who own the villa, when they are there. The roof terrace is very private and for the sole use of Guest's staying in the apartment. Smoking is only allowed on the roof terrace.
