The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Costa Blanca lies along the South East coast of Spain and literally means the ‘White Coast’. Its miles of beaches, pleasant climate and plentiful tourist towns have made it one of Spain’s most popular holiday destinations. Towns such as Benidorm are greatly favoured by the tourists and provide many excellent facilities as well great beaches. But there is more to the Costa Blanca then one may think. Yes it is an excellent tourist haven, but it is also one of the most beautiful and culturally rich regions of Spain. The outstanding natural landscape is strewn with white washed villages full of history and well-kept traditions. So here we have a tailor-made tourist hot spot along with the traditions and beauty of rural Spain. It is this factor that makes the Costa Blanca so desirable.
The Moraira / Benitachell area
The Costa Blanca is a vast area and so there are countless places to visit of all shapes and sizes. There are many natural parks and reserves that one can visit. The Algar waterfalls, just inland from Altea are ever popular. This protected area is perhaps the only one of its kind acting as a ‘natural water park’ where you can bathe in natural swimming pools or take a pleasant stroll through the arboretum. Just 24km from Alicante are some more natural wonders; the Caves of Canelobre. These caves boast the highest vaults in all of the Iberian Peninsula and have been likened to that of a cathedral. For a more active day out try visiting one of the many amusement parks. The Terra Mitaca Park is divided into 5 area named after the ancient civilisations of the Mediterranean. Aqualandia as the name suggests is a huge water park by Benidorm which has always been popular with tourists. The old fishing town of Calpe reels in the holiday-makers and it is not hard to see why. This town sits by the Rock of Ifach. The surrounding mountains of the Sierra Bernia are beautiful alone. The town is in contrast of the typical resort towns and offers you stretches of white sandy beaches, narrow cobbled streets to explore and bustling street markets. Calpe is the perfect place to experience the archetypal Spanish fishing town. Well worth the visit.
You can find an activity for whatever mood you are in here in the Costa Blanca. Sporting activities are a favourite, in particular Golf. There are various top standard golf and country clubs dotted along the coastline so you are never to far away from them. Other sports include cycling, Horse riding, fishing, carting and sailing. Shopping is also an enjoyable past time as there are many local markets and antique and Art fairs all over the coast. Nightlife on the Costa Blanca is thriving too. There are hundreds of clubs, pubs and bars all along the costal towns. Benidorm is particularly good with many clubs opening at midnight and staying open till the early hours of the morning. There are also many fine restaurants to choose from too. The most popular ingredients of the region consist of rice and seafood. Perhaps the most famous dish of the region is Paella, made up of rice and various meats and seafood, mainly prawns. Fish will be on the menu of every restaurant. Favourites include Gilthead, Bass and squid. There are also many local wines waiting to be sampled. The Alicante wines are red or rosé with quite high alcohol content. Valencian wines are white and dry with a very fresh, clean taste.
There are 3 golf courses; Javea Golf Club, La Sella (Marriot resort - between Javea & Denia) and Golf Ifach (Moraira) all within 10 minutes. Javea Golf Club is located only 3 kilometers away. Further detail can be provided on request

Guestbook for Luxury 7 Bed Villa and Pool
Dear Jane and Robert,
Forgive the delay in writing - we have been so busy with appointments since
we have returned.
We had a wonderful holiday at your villa - it had everything and so much
more. The boys stayed in the annexe which they thought was great - away
from the parents. The pool, the cleanliness, the size of the villa and
grounds, the area, the facilities and the size of the rooms were
outstanding. We all had a great time and were sorry to leave on Saturday.
We all thought Moraira was very nice and had a wonderful meal in the Italian
restaurant on our 25th wedding anniversary last Tuesday.
We thought that you had included everything to make it a really great and
memorable holiday - from the kitchen equipment to the pool inflatables, the
cards, books, washing machine, showers and bathroom to the high standard of
all the furnishings and storage spaces etc.
Thank you very much. We found that the nearby supermarket was very handy
for the early morning croissants, bread and everything we needed.
Thanks and we would love to stay again.
Regards,
Maria Crofts and the other 12 members of the families!
Hi Robert,
Just had to drop you a quick line to let you know we had a wonderful time at the villa, everything about it exceeded our expectations!
We have stayed in Moraira before but your villa was far superior to any others we have used in the past, your attention to detail in the 'Bible' is brilliant and it proved an invaluable reference guide to everything in the villa and useful pointers to the surrounding area and activities on offer.
We met Phil the pool man when he came to sort out a problem the previous tenants had reported with the water being too cloudy (looked OK to us) but he insisted he could get it clearer, which he did, and even returned the next day to check it was still OK. A superb, efficient, friendly service, so rare these days!
We are currently looking at holiday dates for next year and will get back to you ASAP to check if the villa is available and book up again.
Once again, many thanks for letting us use your lovely home, I would recommend it to anyone.
Best regards
Philip & Angela Lewis
