The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is not as cold or wet in the winter as the Costa Brava, north of Costa Blanca, nor is it as humid or hot in the summer as the Costa del Sol, in the south. The Costa Blanca has the best all year round temperatures. The climate is recognised as one of the best in the world by the World Health Organisation. Many people with arthritis come to the Costa Blanca and within days feel much better. In the winter months the Costa Blanca is lucky enough to have nearly as many sunny days as in the summertime. There are over 100 kms of sandy beaches and rocky coves and many of the beaches have the coveted European Blue Flag signifying cleanliness and safe bathing.
The northern Costa Blanca is typically mountainous with cliffs and coves, a mixture of pebble beaches and fine sandy beaches. Inland, the scenery is mountainous but lush, filled with orange, lemon, grapes and almond groves, and dotted with dramatic, pretty villages.
Stretching from Valencia in the north to Alicante in the South, The Costa Blanca’s centrepiece is the huge resort of Benidorm. A visit here makes a fun day out from one of our Costa Blanca villas. It is a large vibrant town with huge attractions such as Terra Mitica Terra Natura and various water parks such as Aqualandia and Mundomar. Further along the coastline is relatively undeveloped, with smaller resorts and pretty towns set on sandy beaches against a backdrop of dramatic mountains – ideal for a relaxing holiday.
Moraira / Villotel area
Moraira's roots are those of a small fishing village and one of the first things you realise when you arrive is that unlike the other resorts along the Spanish coastline, Moraira has not forgotten its roots. Moraira, due to its great popularity, has grown in recent years, becoming one of the most popular destinations on the Costa Blanca but it has not "sold-out" to the tourist boom and isn't plagued by the high rise buildings and overcrowding of some of the other resorts.
Quite simply, Moraira is now the most exclusive and pleasant place to stay whilst on holiday on the Costa Blanca, it still has the charm of a small picturesque fishing town nestled between mountains and vineyards but at the same time has grown to offer almost everything to everyone that stays here. Moraira is geographically situated in a near perfect location, around Moraira itself the landscape changes from the desert like flatness of Alicante to become greener with a mountain scenery backdrop as you head North. It is an ideal location to easily visit other towns including Guadalest, Benidorm, Calpe, Javea, Valencia, Alicante and Denia although a car is essential to make these trips.
The town centre and beaches are very clean and attractive and an obvious attention to detail has gone into the town's planning, this is apparent in every thing you see, including how easy it is to park in the town centre itself, essential if you are on holiday with children.
Moraira's two main beaches are made up of clean golden sand and nestled in attractive bays, swimming here is safe and pleasant and the beach is a relatively uncrowded place to be even in the peak of summer. Moraira's main beach is situated right next to the town centre with convenient pedestrian walkways meaning that it is not necessary to cross a road to enter the town or the marina. Moraira offers an excellent array of sports to suit most & includes jet ski hire, water skiing, deep sea fishing, diving tuition and equipment hire, tennis courts, a golf course, mini golf and mountain bike hire. For children there are specially designed park areas where they can play safely.
Moraira offers a huge variety of restaurants and bars to cater for every taste and budget. Whether you are looking for typical Spanish cuisine in Spanish surroundings or international cuisine like Chinese, Japanese, Greek, Italian or even just egg & chips, then Moraira has it all to offer. As the sun goes down and your meal is finished you can always head to one of Moraira's many cafe bars and sit and watch the world go by, or for the young at hear there are late night bars and clubs.

How to get there
Most budget airlines fly to either Valencia or Alicante. From Valencia it is approx 1 hour 10 minutes and the tolls are around 10 euros, and from Alicante approx 50 minutes and the tolls cost just under 6 euros.
Transfer by taxi is 120 euros and 80 euros, however car hire is recommended.
