Home description
The accommodation is all on one level, ideal for couples, friends and small families. The secluded private pool has a paved surround, sun loungers, parasols, tables and chairs, for alfresco dining plus outside shower. There are other paved areas allowing sun all day and a stone built BBQ area under cover just in case of a breeze. Outside lighting for quiet drinks on the patio whilst watching the world go by and the sun setting over the mountains. Private parking and only a short drive or walk (less than 15 minutes walk) to the main village of Moraira, and conveniently located for a small supermarket, restaurants and bars.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
Moraira is a quiet, tranquil old fishing town on Spain's Costa Blanca. The town has an important active tourist community, some of whom have chosen to settle there all year round while others are on their first visit or come back summer after summer.
This picturesque old fishing town enjoys a spectacular location, with the Mediterranean Sea stretched out in front and a stunning mountain backdrop. With the steady stream of visitors, Moraira has managed to combine attracting tourists with maintaining its traditional atmosphere. Many traditional fishing-port features still remain, including the magnificent fish auction that is held from Tuesday to Sunday in the Lonja (public exchange market) right in the port area.
Situated on the sunny Mediterranean coast, Moraira enjoys a warm and pleasant climate, with a year-round average of 18 degrees.
Moraira / Paichi area
The Province of Alicante where Moraira is found is defined as having fine sandy beaches, rocky ones and mysterious coves and, these are some of the choices that the 8 kilometres of shore with the Blue Flag of the European Community can also offer you in Moraira. Either on foot or with small boats, this long stretch of beach area has crystal clear waters, restaurants right on the beach, parking areas.
One nice cute cove with a lot of history is the one called the Portet. It was the place of shelter for Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Arab or privateer sailing or trading ships. Today its a well equipped zone for doing all kinds of nautical sports. And from there you can take a stroll to the watch out tower near the Cap d’Or ( the Golden Cape). This tower is on the most elevated part of the cape, overlooking the beach mentioned before. The castle of Moraira was built in 1742 and there is a shield from the Royal Borbon family over the door way.
If either coming along the national highway N-332 or by AP-7 ( pay highway), the landscape is filled with vineyards and there is a nice wine cellar to be visited. There is a great street market in Teulada, just 8 kilometres inland from Moraira.
If you are lucky enough to be there in July, the Patron Saint is the Virgin of the Unsheltered and the Virgin of Carmen who is said to protect the sailors and fishermen. There is a beautiful parade and fireworks and a water procession with the statue of the Virgin floating among endless bouquets of flowers. Quite a scene to be seen!
How to get there
Flights to Alicante or Valencia. Moraira is 45 minutes drive from Alicante airport and one hour from Valencia. Car hire can be arranged with prior notice, and airport transfers can also be arranged at much reduced costs than those of the normal taxis. Several airlines offer very cheap flights, depending on when and where you want to fly from. It is worth looking at Flybe from Exeter, Ryanair from Newquay and Easyjet from Bristol, but most regional airports have budget airlines flying to Alicante.

Kitchen is fully equipped with all crockery, pots and pans. We do not provide towels for the beach. English speaking representatives will welcome you and provide you with keys for the property and answer any questions. A welcome pack will be waiting for you on arrival. Private parking for one car.
