The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is not as cold or wet in the winter as the Costa Brava, north of Costa Blanca, nor is it as humid or hot in the summer as the Costa del Sol, in the south. The Costa Blanca has the best all year round temperatures.
The climate is recognised as one of the best in the world by the World Health Organisation. Many people with arthritis come to the Costa Blanca and within days feel much better. In the winter months the Costa Blanca is lucky enough to have nearly as many sunny days as in the summertime.
The Costa Blanca has over 100 kms of sandy beaches and rocky coves and many of the beaches have the coveted European Blue Flag signifying cleanliness and safe bathing. The northern Costa Blanca is typically mountainous with cliffs and coves, a mixture of pebble beaches and fine sandy beaches. North of Altea it is surprisingly very green and lush.
Moraira / San Jaime area
Moraira is a quieter and more sophisticated area of the Costa bBlanca, no high rise hotels and no mass tour operators and no Mcdonalds! Mainly family villas, a lovely sandy beach with children's play area and beach bar, fabulous cosmopolitan restaurants from typical Spanish tapas to Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Indonesian, you name it Moraira has it.
A superb yacht marina, trendy bars and cobbled streets with plenty of boutiques. A regular Friday market. Moraira is within 30 minutes of some of Europes best theme parks and close to lovely old mountain villages. In the centre of Moraira is a small fun fair ideal for children. For the more active diving, golf, jet skis, walking and cycling are all readily accessible.
San Jaime is a well established, very desirable area less than 10 mins drive to the centre of Moraira along the coast road towards Calpe. It is home to the Ifach Golf Club a very beautiful 9 hole course with spectacular views. On the coast road itself and walking distance into San Jaime are a variety of restaurants, the best supermarket in the area, British butchers, Newsagent, Travel agent (discount ed tickets to local attractions) Pharmacy, Dentist and banks. International Doctors only 5 mins drive away (with 24 hour cover). El Portet is a pretty bay with a lovely sandy beach just a walk from the centre of Moraira and all along the coast there are sandy,pebbly or rocky coves, some great for snorkelling, some hidden away, some with lovely little beach bars. Calpe with its famous Penon de Ifach (a very large rock) is 20 mins drive away. The lively town of Javea with the fabulous Arenal beach and Montgo mountain (can you see the elephant?) is 25 mins drive away. The Jalon valley is also well worth exploring for its vineyards and Bodega, almond, orange and olive trees abound. The mountain drives are spectacular if you have a head for heights.

Further details indoors: Entrance thru the front door leads into spacious hallway style area with shower room on left. Open plan kitchen diner is to the right. This is a modern fully fitted kitchen with large dining table and chairs. Also on this level is a large living room leading into a smaller living area or snug with fireplace , then french doors and out onto the large covered naya. This area is ideal for outdoor meals or purely for snoozing, reading etc out of the hot sun but still enjoying the views. From the naya by means of a couple of steps is the pool and sun terrace with shrubs and palms and barbecue area. Back inside and on the same level are 3 bedrooms all with 2 single beds in situ and a family bathroom. The internal stairs lead to a 4th bedroom, again with fantastic views and 2 single beds.
