On walking distance to the beach of Moraira!! From the terrace of the lovely villa area you look over to Moraira. This small fisherman's village has a lovely centre, market every friday, restaurants and bars and a superb beach.
Gran Sol is decorated with modern furniture, has a very large private pool and lots of privacy. The terrace area has a BBQ perfect for entertaining guests at any time of the day. There are sunloungers surrounding the pool ideal for relaxing with a coktail as you take in the rays and then hop into the pool to cool down. There is a covered seating area looking out towards the pool ideal for relaxing away from the sun or enjoying some relaxed al-fresco dining. This is well lit in the evening providing the perfect setting for evening outside dining. The inside of the property is large with grand rooms offering ample amounts of space. The bedrooms are very large with huge ceilings and plenty of light and room so as not to feel cluttered and allowing true rest and recuperation. There are modern bathrooms and the kitchen is fully equipped ideal for whipping up some tasty treats.
We say a car is advised, but whilst staying at Gran Sol and it's surroundings you could easily be without one. On walking distance you can get to the beach, the supermarkets, restaurants and bars, the tenniscourts etc.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Passion of Christ, or Easter Week, known in Spain as Semana Santa is the most important celebration in the country. The festivities begin with the Domingo de Ramos (Palm Sunday) and end with Lunes de Pascua (Easter Monday). It is a celebration of life itself and the whole country comes alive.
Each area, city and town has it's own accent on it's celebrations. They all differ but in common they all portray life, colour, culture, music and dance, all with a very religious meaning.
Everywhere, processions make their way through the streets, carrying religious icons and symbols of their faith. In Seville alone there are over 100 of these such images.Semana Santa has to be experienced first hand to be fully appreciated and no words can begin to describe the emotions that flow like water, wherever you go. If you have the opportunity to sample these festivities, one thing is sure, the images will stay with you forever.
Moraira area
Moraira was once a traditional sleepy fishing village, with a lovely coastline and superb sandy and also pebbly beaches. The village has now been transformed and has many lovely picturesque houses. The fishing tradition is still very important here and much in evidence and the fish market here is now one of the most important fish market on the Costa Blanca.
Local people are really friendly and expertly adapted their traditional village of way of life with the tourists enjoying the wonderful miles of coastline..
