About the home
The villa consists of fully equipped lounge/diner, kitchen, bedroom and en-suite bathroom. The lounge has wonderful views over the vineyards and hills. The garden is available for relaxing and eating outside, BBQ area, sunbathing. The owners villa is on the top floor, however the holiday villa is totally seperate and neither section can be accessed from the other.
Located in a secluded area on the edge of town, on a small lane. Very peaceful and not overlooked by neighbouring villas. The neighbours do not rent thier villas so you won't be next to large groups/children.
The terrace area has loungers and sun-shades, 8x4 private pool with views across the vineyards.
The villa has everything you need for a complete self-catering holiday, but you will find many of the restaurants in the town very hard to resist. A comprehensive folder is provided with details about many attractions, places to eat & drink, sports, shopping, maps etc.
Everything you need is within easy walking distance, so no need to drive to the beach etc and try and park.
WIFI , English TV (Freeview) , DVD player, CD player , linen and towels included at no extra cost.
Access to a washing machine for long-term lets.

Linen and towels will be changed once a week (for 2 week stays), and a welcome pack to greet you upon arrival, containing a few basic items to help you settle in quickly. Tea, coffee, sugar, toilet rolls, washing materials all provided.
Also benefits from heating for the winter evenings whilst remaining cool in the summer.
Mosquito nets on all the windows. Possible use of washing machine if the owners are home during your visit.
We provide shower towels and beach towels to save you space in your luggage.

A shaded patio area to the rear offers an ideal eating/BBQ area or simply somewhere to hide from the sun.
The pool terrace provides secluded and tranquil sunbathing, with loungers and sunshades, overlooking the vineyard. Private garden with tables and chairs for al-fresco breakfast and dinner, and lights around the pool terrace for a midnight dip !

The owners, a middle aged couple, live on-site on the seperated top floor of the building, although we don't sunbathe/swim whilst our guests are there (unless invited!) ensuring you have un-intruded peace and privacy during your stay, and we work so won't be around all the time. Of course, you are welcome to join us for evenings out, drinks etc if you fancy a bit of friendly company, and we are available for any questions/tips/advice relating to the local area.
We do return to the UK during the year so please feel free to ask if we will be there.
Conditions
A £100 non-refundable deposit is required when booking, and the remainder to be paid 10 weeks before arrival.
Flexible change-over days / times.
Check-out by 10am on departure date (unless otherwise arranged with the owner).
On days where guests check out and another arrive the same day we require 3 hours turn-around time so ask that arrivals are no earlier than 1pm. Please ask if you are unsure.
The villa is non-smoking, however smoking in the gardens is permitted.

For those that want to experince a faster paced evening, Alicante is 1 hour away, Benidorm 25 minutes, whilst Calpe is just a short 15 minute journey away.
For the more energetic, all types of sports are catered for, including water skiing, diving, golf, riding, tennis, go-karting and walking.
Moraira benefits from all-year sun, making it perfect for those that like to top up thier tan in the summer heat, or those that prefer to avoid the UK winter chill and enjoy the warm sunny autumn and winter days on the seafont.
A large variety of resturants ensures there is something for everyone close by.
The Moraira area
The small town of Moraira lies directly on the Costa Blanca, between Alicante to the south and Valencia to the north.
The town has grown from a tiny fishing village to a quaint tourist and retirement town, whilst retaining it's original charm, character and relaxed way of life.
The small harbour is still in use, local fishermen selling their fresh catches at the fish market, whilst the modern marina is home to the yachts and pleasure boats of locals and visitors alike. Take a walk along the marina, enjoy a drink in one of the cafes or indulge in local produce at any of the restaurants overlooking the sea.
The town still consists of small narrow streets, brightly coloured shops, boutiques and cafes to entice you in as you meander around, or just to sit and relax with a cold drink overlooking the bay, beach and hills.
The beaches are clean and safe, crystal waters ideal for swimmers or those who just want a quick cool-down. El-portet is a superb beach, the cove popular with snorklers due to the calm clean waters and the coral boasting many colourful and interesting fishes.
Moraira is still unspoilt, the old castle still in-tact, no high-rise blocks to disfigure the skyline, no cars rushing past to disturb the peace and tranquility.
Supermarkets are located on the edge of town, offering everything at low prices for those on self-catering holidays. The local friday market provides visitors and locals alike the opportunity to sample and purchase local produce, cheese, wines, olives and traditional clothes and jewellery.
The nightlife mainly consists of cosy restaurants, offering varied cuisine from France, Germany, Greek, Asia, Italy and of course Spain, and the many waterfront cafes and bars. Choose either a quite bar where the locals enjoy sangria and spanish music, mix with the many foreign nationals in a swanky modern bar, or catch up on the sport from home in one of the sports bars. You may be lucky enough to be around when one of the festivals takes place, where the locals celebrate thier history with street parades, parties and firework shows.
Of course the visitors are welcome and encouraged to join in the party.
There is something for everyone, young and old alike. One thing that will be common is the relaxed,
unhurried pace, the quality of produce and service and the low prices ensuring you real value for money.
Moraira has a selection of quality supermarkets, small specialist shops, banks and local english speaking doctors.

We chose to rent a car for this holiday. The drive from Alicante airport was made easy by Stu's directions to the villa. On arrival, Sandra and Stu welcomed us to the Casa Lanesra and showed us round. The villa was lovely, everything we needed for our stay was there. The linen and towels were good quality, there were plenty of pans and crockery items as well as an immaculate fridge complete with a welcome pack. Our hosts made this holiday even better for us, showing us the best bars and places to eat as well as places to visit in the surronding area. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We certainly won't forget our start to 2012, standing on the seafront with our hosts and lots of other people watching the fireworks on the beach. Moraira is friendly and relaxed. Although it was not warm enough to swim in the pool itself, we enjoyed sitting there admiring the views. The walk into the centre of Moraira was enjoyable even on the return journey in the dark in the evenings! This villa is ideally suited to couples looking for some rest and relaxation, well situated, with good amenities nearby. Highly recommended. |

Guestbook for Casa Lanesra
The weather was wonderful all week and we spent a lot of time just quietly chilling out at Casa Lanesra. Wonderful to be at one with nature again, so many wonderful birds and noises.
The town with it's wonderful tapas bars and restaurants was fab, a week wasn't long enough to get round all those we fancied.
The villa was just great, much nicer than we hoped, so private and such lovely views, a complete get away from it all, ideal couple place. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and hope to return soon, although looking at the availability it's getting very popular!

One day back at work and you think why did I not stay!!
We had a brilliant week in Moraria.The villa was excellent and the ability to walk into town was fantastic ,just perfect positioning.
We have spent alot of time in Spain and so far Moraira is certainly up front on our wish list.
I managed to practice my Spanish and found the locals very receptive.
