The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

The Cumbre del Sol is a headland situated just to the north of Moraira, and a short distance to the south of Javea, on the Costa Blanca. This is about 40 km north of Benidorm.
Although the villa is not situated on the cliff edge, the nearby coastline on the Cumbre is dramatic, with 500' cliffs and camera grabbing views. The nearest cove is called Moraig Beach, and is renouned for it's stunning beauty ,and the fact that it has undersea caves that are regularly explored by visiting scuba divers. It is a pebbly beach at the bottom of the cliff, with a good access road, car park, snack-bar and restaurant. The swimming here is wonderful but shoes are adviseable to get in and out of the sea.
The Lirios centre opened on the Cumbre at the beginning of 2006. This is situated just 10 minutes walk from the villa and has a couple of restaurants, shops, bars , with more outlets hopefully opening soon. These ameneties have made a big difference to the area and have been welcomed by all. It has been tastefully designed and although modern, fits well into the surroundings.
For those of you wanting golden sands and shallow waters,10 minutes away is L'Ampolla, the local town beach at Moraira, which is lovely, as is Playa Arenal at Javea ,just 15 minutes to the north. A few more miles in the car, will bring you to glimmering pale sand of Calpe beach, to the south, and it's wonderful seafood restaurants on the promenade, or north of Denia port , to mile upon mile of white sand, stretching up to Gandia and beyond. There is something here to suit everyone.
This area of Spain has so much to offer. It is situated 35 minutes from Benidorm, the largest resort in Europe, (for those of you who like that kind of thing). Here you will find two fabulous beaches, shops & restaurants galore, the Terra Mitica theme park, and Aqua-Landia, a swimming pool theme park attraction for all ages. There is also a sea-life centre, where you can observe magnificent creatures in natural surroundings and stroke a dolphin!
The Moraira / Cumbre del Sol area
For those of you interested in local culture, there are endless villages and festivals, local markets (please feel free to use the walkie talkies provided in the villa, as it is easy to become separated in the markets and on festival days!!!) and churches to explore, and just an hour and a quarter to the north is the magnificent city of Valencia, with it's treasured architecture and old Spanish atmosphere.
Between Moraira and Benidorm you will find the town of Altea. This an actually be reached by using te train from Teulada, as well as by road. The old town is a must, it is quaint beyond belief, set high up on the hill with its narrow whitewashed alleyways and superb views, it hides a number of superb restaurants and tapas bars, and some beautiful little shops where you can browse to your hearts content. At night it comes alive, with lights, music and a buzzing atmosphere, don't miss it.
The wine growing region, up in the Jalon valley is about 20 minutes drive away, this is a must! Visit the outdoor antiques market, taste wine from the barrel at the local bodegas, or disappear deep up into the hills ,and discover wonderful restaurants, serving 5 course lunches with as much wine as you can drink for about £12 a head!
Not forgetting you golfers! We have 4 excellent courses in the area, only a few minutes drive away. Details can be found of all these activities and more in the villa. Horse riding and Go Karting are also available nearby, and tennis courts have just opened on the Cumbre near to Pueblo de la Luz, another area of the northern Cumbre

| Railway: | Teulada: 4 km |

Fly to either Alicante of Valencia, Alicante is slightly nearer to the villa, but the flight is about 15 minutes more, so it is swings and roundabouts! The journey from either is no more than 1 1/4 hours.
A car is essential for this holiday and can be easily hired form either airport. The motorway connections are easy and the roads are excellent. Full directions will be available to you after you book, and there is a parking area outside and on the same level as the villa.
We can help with suggestions for either flights or car hire.

Guestbook for Casa Jacaranda
We were very impressed with the quality and facilities of your villa. We were most comfortable and our son thoroughly enjoyed using the PS2. We were short of nothing, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others. The welcome pack was excellent, more than we would expect from a private villa. Mr & Mrs D. Squires Cheshire April 2007
First off I must say how beautiful the villa and surrounding area was – its always a little nerve racking when your on your way from the airport wondering if the place will be as nice as the pictures but I must say your pictures do not do the villa justice. We were very happy with EVERYTHING there was not one thing we could have faulted. Everything was beautifully looked after, modern and clean and we are already planning to see if we can come next year. The Beldham Family Nottinghamshire July 2007 and 2008
Thank you for a simply wonderful relaxing holiday, the villa is so comfortable and clean and you have provided far more facilities than we have ever found in any other villa. The views are just breathtaking we found it all very hard to leave when it was time to come home. We will be back again next year you can rely upon it. Mr & Mrs El Hakiem - Derbyshire 2008
We stayed in Casa Jacaranda from 24 - 31 December 2010 and had a wonderful time. The villa is very spacious and clean and had all the facilities we needed and more. Our 2 children (5 and 1) loved playing outside on the terrace. Cumbre del Sol is a beautiful area and the weather was sunny and warm all week - we prefer this time of year when it's not so hot and busy.We really enjoyed the beautiful views from the villa and the terrace. We wouldn't hesitate recommending staying in this villa to others, we'd love to come back ourselves next year. Theo, Marie-Louise, Laura and Thomas, Glasgow, December 2010.
