About the home

The apartment is one of 2 larger apartments on the beautiful garden complex of Aldea de Recreativa in Moraira. The complex consists of approximately 50 apartments with 2 lovely swimming pools, one with a separate children’s area and two communal barbecue areas. The apartment itself has air-conditioning in the main living areas and has a large airy lounge with open fireplace, dining area and a full kitchen. There is one double bedroom (brand new 5ft bed) and one twin bedroom both with built in wardrobes, and a large comfortable sofa bed, which converts easily into a full double bed, plus 2 bathrooms. The apartment is on the first floor reached by a flight of steps and has a large private terrace overlooking the grounds and a lower rear terrace with views of the valley.

Local shops, bars and restaurants are within minutes walk and the chic marina resort of Moraira is less than 5 minutes drive with a myriad of restaurants, bars and several good beaches.

The apartment has air-conditioning in the main living areas and there is also an extra portable unit if required. Additionally there are ceiling fans in each room plus heating units for winter visitors. A brand new travel cot is provided and a new highchair is also available. The main bathroom has been upgraded and fully refitted/tiled and the apartment has just been fully repainted.

A good quality double sofa bed is available for use. The television provides access to the following UK TV Channels - BBC1, ITV1, ITV3, Ch 4, Ch 5, BBC Prime, Eurosport, BBC World, TPS Cinestar and Boomerang. Also available is a playstation 2 and selection of games plus a selection of children’s and adult DVDs.

Also provided are inflatables and toys for the swimming pools and a selection of adults and children's books.

The interior is maintained to a high standard.

Further details outdoors:
There are 2 spacious terraces - one large rear terrace which is shared with the apartment below - there are wonderful views of the valley here. The second terrace is also spacious and is accessed from the living/dining room, and here you can sit overlooking gardens and pools of Aldea, eating meals or just relaxing. A table and 4 chairs are located on this terrace plus 2 sun loungers.

The shared pools are open all year and one has a lovely shallow area for children whilst the other is on an elevated section and is perfect for some serious swimming. There are very attractive gardens all around the apartments.

There is no allocated parking however there is plenty of space for parking at the rear entrance to the apartment. The apartment is on the upper level (1st floor) with one apartment below and non above. Therefore access is not suitable for wheelchairs.

Our changeover day is usually Saturday, but we try to be flexible on this outside High Season.

Apartments at Aldea

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region

There are a wide variety of activities and sightseeing opportunities all within striking distance of Moraira. Along the coast are the resorts of Javea, Calpe, Altea and further afield, Benidorm and Denia. All of which provide high quality beaches and a variety of activities from theme parks in Benidorm to beach side walks in Javea.

There are a number of good golf courses in the area and details can be provided if required. Further inland the Jalon Valley is a popular tourist destination - the home of multiple Orange and Lemon groves and wine producing vineyards. The mountain resort of Guadalest is also a great day trip with spectacular water falls.

Overall the Costa Blanca region of Spain has one of the best climates in the world, enjoying over 300 days of sunshine in an average year. The average yearly temperature is 18°C/64°F with temperatures mostly around 28°C/82°F in August and 16°C/61°F in February. Winter in this area is generally sunny and pleasant.

The Moraira area

Moraira is a beautiful coastal resort with a chic upmarket feel. With several beaches and a plethora of restaurants and shops it is a perfect holiday destination.

The weekly market is held on a Friday morning on the main town car park. The area hosts a number of large festivals details of which can be found at the local tourist information office in Moraira. The Marina is a lovely spot and the main beaches all have refreshment and bathroom facilities. All of the main beaches are manned by qualified lifeguards.

There are several children’s playgrounds dotted around the town in addition to a great fun fair, which operates in the evenings. Both tennis and a 9 hole golf course are available for use in Moraira plus water sports, boat hire/trips, horseriding, go-karting and mini golf are also close by.

Moraira is more or less equal in distance from both Alicante and Valencia airports. The journey takes just over an hour, mostly along the AP-7 motorway (toll-road) which generally carries little traffic in this area. The usual low-cost airlines operate from both airports, although Murcia is also now well-used and is only about an hour and a half away using the same road.

Car-hire is easily and efficiently arranged at all of these airports, and we can make recommendations to you at the time of booking. However, car rental is not necessary at this apartment as there is a good local taxi office just 5 minutes walk around the corner. If you require taxi transfers from the airport these can be arranged for you.
