The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Alicante Province region
The Costa Blanca is a beautiful part of Spain and has something to offer every visitor. There are sandy blue flag beaches with watersports of all descriptions. Inland there is superb scenery and historic, sleepy towns tucked away, waiting to be discovered.
The cities of Valencia and Alicante are well worth exploring, Valencia now being 'The New Barcelona' following the Americas Cup. For excitement Benidorm is the home of Terra Mitica theme park as well as the Aqualandia waterpark amongst many attractions.
Moraira / San Jaime area
Moraira, one of the most unspoilt resorts on the Costa Blanca. It has a picturesque sea front and harbour with 18th Century castle right next to the main sandy blue flag beach. There is plenty of easy parking so it is a pleasure to wander around the exclusive shops and try out the various excellent restaurants from traditional Spanish to Italian to Japanese. Whilst bustling it is never rowdy, a variety of Fiestas all year round add to the fun!
San Jaime is a well established, very desirable area less than 10 mins drive to the centre of Moraira along the coast road. It is home to the Ifach Golf Club a very beautiful 9 hole course with spectacular views. On the coast road itself and walking distance into San Jaime are a variety of restaurants,bars and the best supermarket in the area, Newsagent, There is also a Pharmacy, Dentist and bank. International Doctors only 5 mins drive away (with 24 hour cover).
El Portet is a pretty bay with a lovely sandy beach just a walk from the centre of Moraira and all along the coast there are sandy,pebbly or rocky coves, some great for snorkelling, some hidden away, some with lovely little beach bars.
Calpe with its famous Penon de Ifach (a very large rock) is 20 mins drive away.
The lively town of Javea with the fabulous Arenal beach and Montgo mountain (can you see the elephant?) is 25 mins drive away.
The Jalon valley is also well worth exploring for its vineyards and Bodega, almond, orange and olive trees abound. The mountain drives are spectacular if you have a head for heights.
How to get there
Alicante airport is served by a number of budget airlines (Thomson, Easy Jet, BMI, Ryanair etc) from many regional UK airports. It is about 1 hour away.
Valencia airport is about 1 hour 20 mins away and is also well served by budget airlines from a number of UK airports.

Further details indoors: The spacious apartment has lounge/dining areas, a very modern kitchen with integrated dishwasher, washing machine, microwave cooker and halogen hob, 1 double and 1 twin bedroom and two bathrooms.
One king size double bedded room and one twin bedded room. En suite to double bedroom and adjacent shower room to twin room. Both bedrooms have ample wardrobe space.
The twin room and lounge overlook the garden, the dining room/kitchen and double bedroom both have doors opening to the poolside.
Washing machine. Satellite television with a range of British channels. DVD player and lots of films available to borrow.
Further details outdoors: There is a good sized, recently landscaped, private garden for the exclusive use of the apartment. It has a seating area which includes a barbecue. It is especially good in the summer when shade is needed.
There is also direct access to the pool and terrace, at the other side of the villa which is shared with the family.
It is a very sunny area and has sun beds around. Be aware it is a deep swimming pool so children must be supervised at all times (a blow up paddling pool can be provided for use in the private garden).
